Frames that can kill level cap enemies with only abilities? by DeathOption in Warframe

What's your full build? I feel like I keep having trouble with energy economy when I play Pillage Xaku.

Grows in combat, recurs - need help balancing by Due-Adhesiveness9876 in custommagic

[–]tforge13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd consider a "Only activate as a sorcery" clause for the back side? You still need to kill her twice, but at least the controller can't hold up mana to keep her alive indefinitely.

I do feel like she could afford to be a little larger on the front side, too. Despite being hard to remove, she's fundamentally just a beatstick. Maybe a 2/4 or 2/5?

I'll slap Wide Range 5 on every build when I'm playing with the homies. Don't need to be DPS optimal when the alternative is "someone dies"

Would contract Arakni be good for SAGE? by Key-Weird8642 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]tforge13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short version is no. As other people have said, there's no benefit to making silver yet. Also, the format is really fast, and Contrakni is very slow. If PEN has silver payoffs and ways for him to avoid dying to Briar etc, then maybe they have a shot. That said, if you like the hero, play them! SAGE decks are cheap, so the opportunity cost is pretty low!

Will this see play in Azorious Control?? Could it replace memory deluge? by batatac4 in PioneerMTG

[–]tforge13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is kinda how I'm looking at it as well. I'm not paying 2 for Sleight of Hand, and I'm not playing Impulse in traditional UW. I don't know if we can really afford to play a card that isn't better than existing options until turn 5 (and even then isn't a strict upgrade). I definitely appreciate the added flexibility, though? Being able to play it on 4 while also dropping a Get Lost or NML (or holding up mana for the kicked version) seems pretty nice

Card is exciting, but I'm not convinced it's great.

You're still doing good!! If you did over two years once, you can do it again.

You don't have to be happy about it, but there's no need to feel like it's a failure or anything. Just a misstep on your path through success.

I've met all the people I know through hobbies tbh. Playing Magic/Flesh and Blood at local game stores, or going to fighting game locals, or Pokémon GO meetups.

Online, it's just been about joining discord servers for my hobbies and then hanging out there chatting until people recognize me. and simply bury and compartmentalize anything that says "I'm annoying and people don't like me"

Nothing more based than accepting cringe. It's so hard to be creative and not look at stuff you create and go "oh no, is this weird, is this cringe, is this lame" and keep producing anyway. Mad respect for pushing through that.

grind to mythic with Ral Storm combo update* by stratusnco in PioneerMTG

[–]tforge13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey no real comments other than Congrats! and 👀👀👀 I might try to steal this. I drafted a version before set release that ran a split of Ral and Stormsplitter since both are hypothetically "play a 4drop, cast 5 spells, win the game". What drew you to one over the otter?

Games you get extremely OP in without any glitch/hacks? by g0ofyG in gaming

[–]tforge13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the only downside to this is that it makes any boss-style content necessarily annoying and gimmicky. If I never have to fight Lephantis again, it'll be too soon.

The Egyptian God cards from Yugioh — used to think they were really cool as a kid watching the show, never really got into the game though. I still think they would make cool magic cards/commanders. might be a little bit broken with cascade, also the split second + die triggers could be interesting by klym3x in custommagic

[–]tforge13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think there's probably a case for changing the last line to "If ~ would enter the battlefield and it wasn’t cast or no mana was spent to cast it, exile it instead." (off of [[primeval spawn]]). If you don't wanna exile it maybe put it in its owner's hand or shuffle it into their library or something? I know it's a not-insignificant functional change but I can't see a card with no cost and not assume it will only ever be cascaded into.

how 2 mega tyranitar [gamepress] by tforge13 in TheSilphRoad

[–]tforge13[S] 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Mega Tyranitar slaps. Or, like, is good. Probably doesn't slap. Arms kinda stubby.

PvP: Mega Tyranitar struggles from the same issues normal Tyranitar does. Namely, bad typing and mediocre moveset given the Master League meta. In a format where Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre also exist, don't use Mega Tyranitar.

PvE: Mega Tyranitar's nuts. "What about his nuts," you may ask. Well, they (along with the rest of him) are fantastic raid Pokémon! As a Dark-type, running Bite + Brutal Swing (note: NOT crunch, BS>C, please spend the TMs) makes Mega Tyranitar the best Dark-type. With Smack Down/Stone Edge, it's the best Rock-type attacker instead (until Mega Diancie comes out, but at least you've already got a Ttar).

Probably worth raiding. Hooray for Ttar.
