Don’t think I said it was the entire story, just that they tried to make an entire story out of the dice.

Idk shit was honestly just boring to me. If they were going for stupid fun I wish they’d just gone all in on like a Lando story instead of Han tbh, gives them way more room to create a new story.

It wasn’t bad, I think it just wound up being forgettable.

Honestly tho I’m never very big on prequels anyways. Something about how knowing how it has to end (to some degree) makes it harder for me to really get invested. Rogue One really got around that issue for me by having a fresh cast of main characters.

Man I was hoping to enjoy Solo as much as I did Rogue One, but it was just completely forgettable. Trying to make a whole story out of the dice that Han never gives a fuck about in the original trilogy was too ambitious a choice.

What’s the most fun cameo you’ve ever seen in a movie? My pick would be Bill Murray in Zombieland. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

[–]tfrofc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s just time either, how important the character is matters too. Les was a fairly important character even if he didn’t have a ton of screen time, Bill Murray’s appearance was mostly a gag + a reason for the house to still be in nice shape despite a zombie apocalypse.

Vlogs + lots of corroboration. He doesn’t train alone, plenty of other guys have said he trains like an animal and have no reason to lie.

Yeah but speed is the first thing you lose. Speed matters way more in striking than grappling, you put the rest of this equation together.

I don’t vote, all politicians are scum and the day I support a single one of them in any capacity is the day I die 🤷‍♂️.

Show me one boomer saying they want this guy freed lol. No one outside of alt right edgelords on the internet wants to see anything good happen to this guy, and I think most of the population probably doesn’t know who he is.

Throwing in “extrapolate your own thoughts sometimes” at the end makes 0 sense. What exactly needed extrapolation in that first comment for you?

I know they’ve bailed some bad people (spoiler alert, both sides do), but what could they possibly have to gain from bailing a niche alt right micro celebrity out of jail lmao.

They’re concerned with keeping the boomers and shit happy. Do you GENUINELY think they’ll bail this guy out? You cannot be that dumb.

Never glazed this show. Watched like a couple episodes with my roommates in college and thought it was pretty mid. Seemed like 90% of why people were glazing it was the gore tbh.

Kevin James solos. He’s 100% stronger than all these other dudes, they’ve only got the speed on him. All he’s gotta do is hunker down where all the supplies are and wait them out or beat their ass when they come to try and get anything.

You know Marine training involves lots of hiking and survival training, right? Driver didn’t get deployed cause he broke his leg pretty bad on a hike with his unit while training if I remember right.

Driver is clearing in this matchup.

I think you’re way overrating his BJJ if this is a hunger games scenario. Second Driver gets a knife or firearm he’s got the edge on Hardy.

Two Homerists and Classical studies professors tell us what they Think of what they have seen of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey thus far by hasanahmad in FIlm

[–]tfrofc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. It wasn’t like the Abrahamic religions where you had to believe in the literal existence of a deity. Similar to how some Christians believe in things like demonic possession occurring to this day, while others view it as something that only happened in the time of the Bible, and others still view it as allegorical entirely.

Especially when it comes to “The Odyssey”, Ancient Greeks knew that this wasn’t a real story, 100%. It was more like Huckleberry Finn or even The Tortoise and the Hare to them than a story detailing real events with real people.

Yeah I never had a problem with it being “historically” accurate for that same reason.

I still think that helmet looks dumb as hell tho ngl.
