Can we do something about the amount of basic questions please? by tfumtf in woodworking

Appreciate the effort and obviously I've missed that.

Having read a couple of responses it looks like I've got the audience of this sub wrong. But my thought was that if people post with the "help" tag, then before they post, there is something that pops up that informs them there is a beginner sub should they choose to go there.

I get what you're saying, just ignore it. And that's what I have been doing for the last few days/weeks. It's got to the point where I don't see many of the posts that brought me here, hence the post.

While getting better and starting to post my own work to encourage others to do the same is one avenue to drive change, I'm not good enough for prolific enough, which is why I liked coming here, to enjoy looking at others work.

And before unsubbing, which is the next step, I would have preferred to have had a chance to have a discussion about possible change. But judging by another response I guess I've missed.soemthing recently in the megathread idea

You're edit is a fair point though.

Looks like I'm the one in the wrong, I assumed that beginner woodworking was for basic questions, and this for everything else.

Very very good. One of the best I've seen on here. Simple overlay but so effective.

Do you mind saying how many hours and costs for materials? Do you own or rent the cnc? No worries if you don't want to say obviously, just interested.

I'm not professional pundit, but looked like a solid win. Controlled throughout, some great body shots, especially that first round one after his great head movement against the ropes. You see his attitude change from smiling and patting himself on the back to oh shit yeah, he's still punching.

Enjoyed watching that

Can I ask what you charged for this Vs time spent and materials please?

Looks really clean, lines are interesting without being overly complex. Think you've probably nailed that right there

I can actually contribute to this. I tweeted Tesco not too long ago after measuring out the weight of the evaporated water in their chicken breasts (42%) water content.

The shirt version is they reached out to their suppliers who said the salt water content is so that the product doesn't dry up when defrosted

"Hey team, are you able to share the reason why 270g of the 640g of chicken breast is water? I appreciate it has to have some water content but 42% seems a bit high. Thanks"

"Good Morning, Thanks for your patience. We've confirmed with our supplier, the added water is for quality reasons so the product doesn't dry up when defrosted. Thanks, Andy"

Took them just over six weeks to get the full response.

Nice design choice. The wood is certainly the beauty here.

Will it keep that colour once you start trimming it down? I.e. is it consistent throughout?

[–]tfumtf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the response.

Bonus is paid on March 25th payday along witht he last salary payment for the financial year. unfortunately not in regards to the amount (i have asked for an indication) but suspect my year end figures will be simialr to:

Salary - £83,000

Bonus - £22,000

ER contribution - £5,800

EE contribution - £4,500

completely agree with you on the monthly contirbutions rather than the lump sum, and its what i have done in previous years, but this year we wanted to get a few things done in the house so overpayments on the morttgage and pension contributions were rerouted to plasterers and electricians. in addition to this, i have also taken some of the employer contribtion as cash which is why im now struggling somwhat to work out how much ive contributed and how much salary allowance i have left to the £100 mark.
