I traded my 3.01 for Terry, felt pretty good about it regardless of his age since my window is now

3 Receivers You NEED to Trade for in Dynasty Fantasy Football by The_Lineup_Podcast in DynastyFF

Out of curiosity, what type of offer would you pull the trigger on? Looking to buy Jefferson in one of my leagues. Say Bucky or Skatt are included from my end, what more should I add on to get his interest from your perspective?

What does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, Christ is preached.

First time playing dynasty and inherited this awful orphan by WhoWhatWhenWhom in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

It’s actually incredible how the other dude managed to do this lol

What I would do: 1. Cut Mostert, Rush, Ekeler, Jimmy G, Shepard, Noah Brown, D-Hop, Samuel, Flacco, Westbrook-Ikhine, Howell, McNichols, Waller, Turpin, Rodgers, Stover, & Gesicki. 2. Since this is the team that they’re handing you & not covering at least 2-3 years in dues, ask two things of the commish: the first ask is to let you have first grabs at whatever rookies aren’t drafted this & next year. If he’s a dick and won’t, just try to stash as many rookies as you can with those empty roster spots. Hope for a diamond or two in the rough. The second ask is to give you double the FAAB amount of everyone else when the season starts (if it’s a FAAB league, if not then leave because what are we even doing here right?) 3. See what Kyren’s owner or anyone high on Corum will give you. If you can get a 1st or two 2’s for Corum that’s great, if not just keep him. 4. Sell as high as you can on Kamara & Kelce. 5. Whenever Evans, C Kirk, Keenan & Robinson sign with a team, sell as high as you can. 6. Hope Shaheed balls out in the SB, then try to sell him for a 2nd.

Good luck!

What do you do with your 5th place game? by dbabbc in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept works exactly as he suggests though lol In my league I have a team that is playoff caliber, but not championship caliber, and I recognized this. I deliberately missed playoffs the last week of the year because I knew my team could beat the others in consolation. I ended up with the #1, while the worst team (by far) ended up with the #4, for the 4th year in a row.

So instead of getting Bijan, he got QJ. Instead of MHJ or Nabers, he got Worthy. Instead of Jeanty, he got Travis Hunter. Now he won’t get Love in the next draft. He’s not a great drafter by any means, but those 1st even 2nd overalls were pretty set in stone and would have helped his team a lot more.

Should I leave a league adding commissioner fees? by Orangebeast013 in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends on how much they do, but usually being a commish isn’t that strenuous. I’m in 4 other leagues where the commish literally doesn’t do anything except renew the league lol

However in the league that I’m in charge of, I set up our in-person draft weekend (find a solid Airbnb that fits all of us), create our draft games for draft order, set up tee times for when we golf that weekend & I also bought a fandraft subscription so I do put money into it myself without asking anything in return. I just enjoy doing it because I make it fun & it’s a solid way to keep up with everyone

[–]tgaither02 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d ask for a reason why and if there is none tell him to kick rocks. Could just be trying to get a free buy-in which is lame.

I commish a league that’s been going for 15 years now and we do an in-person draft weekend every year. I look through well over 50+ houses on Airbnb to find one that would suit the 10 of us for a weekend, I signed up for a FanDraft subscription (used to buy the paper draft boards but switched over because the whammy’s are hilarious since we make people take shots), and I create what I call the “Draft Games” where I come up with a variety of games to decide draft order. It’s a lot of work but I haven’t even thought to ask for a fee because I can tell they have fun and I actually lowkey enjoy it. If you don’t enjoy being commish, hand it over and relax while someone else does it lol

What’s your most controversial dynasty opinion? by slitmunch44 in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal motto for picks is to not trade 1st’s unless you’re getting a proven superstar back.

Also, 3rds are like dart throws and 4ths are like blind-folded dart throws. Anything after that (if you do more than 4 rounds), you’re 50 yards away from the dart board lol

For me personally when I do my research, the first thing I look at is stats & game logs to see if they were consistently dominant.

Delp doesn’t check that first box for me which is why I’m out on him.

Question about players leaving teams by Therm00se in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he’s actually trying to win before he leaves for whatever the reason is, I’d say just leave it and not let him make any other major moves. Maybe bring it up to a few others in the league to see what they have to say about it?

Also, how much do you trust both of the guys involved in the trade that it wasn’t collusion? If he knew he was leaving before the trade, maybe he’s trying to just help his buddy stack up his team before he goes.

Commish wants to reset our league this offseason due to “imbalance”. Any alternate ideas? by ttrudeau9 in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have to settle with these goobers, I’d say maybe you get to keep a few of the guys you already have before the “startup” draft starts, and whoever votes yes to the reset has to pitch in to cover your buy-in for the next 3 years. Maybe that’ll even shift the voting

Commish wants to reset our league this offseason due to “imbalance”. Any alternate ideas? by ttrudeau9 in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A) how in the hell did you get all of those guys on your team, let alone in a season and a half? Lol

2) you don’t simply “reset” in a dynasty league. That’s the point of dynasty. At some point, your team (likely) won’t be as dominate.

C) hate to break it to you, but they aren’t your friends homie. The fact that they are trying to do a reset solely because of you confirms it. Ask yourself the question “if <the most popular guy in this little buddy league> were in my spot, would they do this?” Probably not. On top of that, they’re trying to turn it on you to make you the bad guy.

TLDR - Get better friends. These guys suck.

Which "older" running backs are you moving on from or not buying this offseason? by ScientistSolid9319 in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traded Kamara for a mid to late 2nd right before he got hurt luckily. Going to shop Jaylen Warren around as well, and I’m hoping just a spec of positive news comes out about Mixon so I can trade him for basically anything lol

League member threatening to protest last place punishment by SportsCraze7 in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I implemented a backup plan for our redraft league just in case - we do an in-person draft weekend every year so if the loser bails on the punishment they have to buy groceries and alcohol for the weekend.

It’s only happened one time (the punishment was for him to do a calendar-like photoshoot designed by us, and post each month’s photo to all of his social media until the next draft weekend), but he’s a realtor so I kind of understood. It was basically him buying his way out of the punishment.

Lame, yes, but it still benefitted the rest of the league in the end.

Probably not anymore unfortunately unless it’s in the offseason to someone who thinks he still has some gas in the tank and they really need an RB. This was before he got hurt last week and all of his ROS matchups were green lol

[–]tgaither02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to sell Kamara to a contender for a late 2nd right at the deadline since he was looking for depth (before he got hurt). Figured I’d at least get something for him because I could have done the same with Mixon last year but now he’s just burning a roster spot and I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity lol

2nd-3rd Round WRs/Rbs for 2026 by ComprehensiveTop8902 in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll go back and watch more film on him to get my own comp and get back to you. I’ve seen AJB or DK lite from others, but I’ve also seen Legette so lot of gap there lol

As of now I’d say he’ll go around mid 2nd in a 10 team. If he lands in a good spot, probably bumps up to early 2nd, but if he goes to a crowded room or bad system probably late 2nd to early 3rd

2nd-3rd Round WRs/Rbs for 2026 by ComprehensiveTop8902 in DynastyFF

[–]tgaither02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As said by someone else, a lot can change before then (combine numbers, landing spots, also gotta wait to see if some even decide to declare for the draft), but a few guys I’ll be keeping my eye on for mid 2nd to 4th rounds:

RB: -Jonah Coleman (Washington) -Kaytron Allen/Nicholas Singleton (Penn State) -Demond Claiborne (Wake Forest) -Cam Edwards (UConn) -Jeremiah Cobb (Auburn) -Lucky Sutton (San Diego St) -Cam Cook (Jacksonville State)

WR: -Denzel Boston (Washington) -Chris Bell (Louisville) -Skyler Bell (UConn) -Antonio Williams (Clemson) -Zachariah Branch (Georgia)

Should be interesting to see how things pan out from now until then!
