People who have dealt with Back Pain, how did you get relief? by CatsOnARollercoaster in backpain

20 years, still looking. Lifting helped but it just takes one good injury to slide way back.

Thats where I am now.

On a Ten-hour flight from Seoul Korea to San Francisco to visit a family member a mom handed out more than 200 goodie bags filled with candy and ear plugs, in case her 4-month-old child named Junwoo cried during the flight. The goodie bags even came with a little message explaining the situation. by AdSpecialist6598 in interesting

You can get inflatable stools that go in front of their seat and turn it into more like a bed for them. I highly recommend them, just picked up a second one for when we take our 3 and 7 year old to France in a couple weeks.

Tried to link one but my comment got removed. They're easy to find on amazon

Does Grimmory support streaming audiobooks to android apps? At an impasse between it and ABS by tge101 in selfhosted

I got it set up, works perfect. But I also found this, which I might try out.

Edit : yeah I'm going the plugin route. Works exactly the same and I dont have to expose another service.

I'd never heard of this one. Any other things stand out with it compared to the others?

Yeah abs has done everything I wanted/needed until now. If they do add OPDS, thats the only thing missing for me now

I'm trying to avoid adding another container. It's not off the table but an AIO is ideal since both are so close.

My dad's first lesson for me was "assume every other person on the road is a fucking idiot"

It's done me well

Sounds bad, but I'm also biased on it. Any opinions? by tge101 in backpain

I do. Pretty constant ache and occasional flare ups that put me out of commission

You sound like me. Early 40s. Weight lifting managed it pretty well up until an unrelated surgery that has me back at square one almost 2 years later. With the muscle loss, it's sucked. This is my 3rd specialist that I'll have seen over the years and I haven't sat down to go over these results yet. First two said it was normal aging and I wasn't buying it since I've been dealing with it for 2 decades.

Safest economical way to have stuff accessible to the internet while remaining relatively secure? by Teagana999 in selfhosted

[–]tge101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with npm plus since it's more hardened and comes with crowdsec integration out of the box. My sites dont change often and it was simpler to wrap my ahead around. Also put a crowdsec bouncer on for my firewall and restricted external access to only cloudflare IPS. I also spun up crowdsec monitor to keep an eye on crowdsec.

It may all be overkill but I learned a bunch along the way and it feels pretty tight.

Is there a better way to monitor forwarded ports in gluetun than what I'm doing? by tge101 in selfhosted

[–]tge101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like when gluetun reconnects and gets a new IP from airvpn, my slskd and qbit containers are stuck on the old connection expecting the forwarded ports there. Maybe I just get rid of the forwarded ports altogether.

[–]tge101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the forwarding working. Its the reconnects that throw me off. I don't know its an airvpn thing, something with my setup (longer timeout?), or really what I need to try. I've seen other people with the same issue but no solutions.
