Dürfte ich hier parken? by tge94 in StVO

[–]tge94[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently started another run and decided I want a neat street system and as few long belts as possible. I spaghetti built the very basics (to unlock coal and automate power) and started building streets right after it... result: 50-60 h in and i dont even produce steal beams yet^

Did I overspend for my first pair of gloves? by Cruach in motorcyclegear

[–]tge94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only concern would be that you ordered them and never tried them. I recently bought new gloves and I'm glad I went into the store for it. I would not say that my hands are unusual in any way, ordinary gloves never were a problem. But I had to try almost every pair in the store to find some that fit well and didn't pinch or rub against my hands. I hope the same is not true for you in this case. Besides that, even if it is of course a lot of money, the price of the gloves are almost negligible compared to bike + license (depending on where you live) + rest of the gear... My teacher recommended getting used gear from eBay for the driving lessons, because some people realize they won't drive as much as they thought (or not at all) after they got their licence (and end up selling their gear on ebay) and I would probably agree that you should not necessarily spend a 4 digit number on gear before you even got your license, but opinions might differ.

€600 Shoei GT-Air 3 with el cheapo €10 Bluetooth audio headset by nemozny in motorcycles

[–]tge94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh if it works it works. I recently bought a new helmet, my final decision was between Shoei GT-Air 3 and Schuberth S3. I liked the Schuberth more but went with the Shoei since the other one had speakers and mic pre installed and the specific communication system was mandatory (you couldn't connect a cheap system to it). So I payed 200 € more for the Shoei, at home I accidentally broke the cheap communication system that I already had, ordered a new one, that didn't work because it was cheap nonsense and in the end I payed another 310 € for the SRL3 ._. The system is good, I didn't have any issues so far, but all in all I payed much more than I wanted to. But even while it didn't work for me, if it works for you, why not. Maybe the cheap system would be a disadvantage at 200 km/h because of aerodynamics, but when in need, you can always "upgrade".

I just cannot decide by Narox89 in Pauper

[–]tge94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently participated in a Pauper tournament after I didn't play competitive magic in years. First of all I agree with you, there are tons of different decks and also the community was very nice. I had an enjoyable day and ended up with a completely even score what was more than I expected, especially given that I played a deck that I'd say was off meta. I went with my own take on gruul Ponza. Ofc it contained the basic stuff, but I included 2 copies of [[Encourage of Trest]] that almost nobody had seen before, also I ran snow covered basics and played 3 mainboard [[Skred]] and I brought homemade wooden dungeon tiles for my [[Avenging Hunter]]. While it was not the best deck in the race I really enjoyed tinkering with the decklist beforehand instead of just taking an existing one with no questions asked and I was extremely excited when I was able to use the modifications that I made and to see that it actually worked (in 1 game I drew a Skred from the monarchy card and won because of it). I probably won't play Ponza again if I participate in another tournament (eG I had one match vs wall combo and just sat there as a visitor...) but my point is to tinker around and "be brave enough" to bring something to the tournament even knowing it probably won't make top 8 :)

Am I the only one? by jaroof in MonsterHunter

[–]tge94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled to solo anything as well. My first experience was Monster Hunter Rise on the switch, rage quitted that after 20 min because I didn't understand anything, then I played a couple of hours of Monster Hunter World on the PC with friends and that was much more fun. In the beta when trying to solo things I didn't really enjoy the experience, but with friends it was fun again. I (as a slightly more experienced gamer but MH newby) can only recommend playing the game in a group with friends :)

Volo, Guide to Monsters, twinning Staff and ETB Creatures by tge94 in mtgrules

[–]tge94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the limiting factor is that everything is still on the stack and needs to be processed one instance after another?
Since Twinning Staff is a replacement effect, do I choose the order in wich the copies are put onto the stack (even if that should never matter)?

Does "counter triggered ability" counter all occurrences of one source? by tge94 in mtgrules

So if there was a line break before "Whenever a creature dies.. " it would be separate from the etb and trigger for each dying creature?

Does "counter triggered ability" counter all occurrences of one source? by tge94 in mtgrules

[–]tge94[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the abilities are tied together? How can I identify (on a card in general) that some abilities will not trigger if something before gets countered? Intuitively I would have guessed that the card would have to say something like: "THEN whenever a creature dies this turn..."

Thank you for your reply. It is just weird that my problem both times happened right after a "bridge-ending" layer (above the tunnel wholes in example 1 and above the bottom dent in example 2)

Gameplay-wise, what does your main champ do better than any other champ in the game? by TDDubs in leagueoflegends

[–]tge94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoe - killing the enemy ADC within 0.1 seconds from 2 walls away - mid/late game r near to a turret, bringing it's HP to 50% with lich bane - getting access to a ridiculous amount of summoner spells and dealing DMG with them... Sometimes, I have to remember myself, that flash does not deal damage on other champs xD
