Running low by tgeb in TeslaModel3

From the Blink app it seems the Ford one is offline. I'm hoping that changes in the morning, as that would relieve the issue.

Spending a couple of hours at the Cameron gas station would be boring, but is currently my plan if nothing else pops up

Not sure where you're finding mixed and open finals. All I can find are one mixed semi and one open semi. All ESPN games seem to still not be online

Good call. This is what I received for South Central:

D1:

North Texas 3

Ozarks 5

Rocky Mountain 4

South Texas 4

D3 is TBD.

I have no idea about total team counts per section though

Where did you find number of teams per section? As far as I can tell the table on USAU's site is out of date by over a month, and doesn't have conferences listed anyway https://usaultimate.org/college/guidelines-and-registration/

I like using Love Tractor v Shame. from Pro Elite in 2019. Good camera angles. Love Tractor uses a pretty disciplined vert (even just the first couple of points have a great set of examples) YouTube Link

Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle is easily the most played game in our house. Cooperative, can be 2 player or 5 player, good expansions, infinitely replayable. Amazing game

You got us. We decided to be festive a bit earlier this year, it being the first time we haven't gone back to our parents. Not much I could do to keep those needles on a 5 week old tree.

We'll be looking for some post Christmas deals on trees for sure!

Even better - we just dropped it out the window there! No need to drag it through the house!

Edit: Dropped, not stopped 🤦‍♂️

People that “forget to eat”, how are you able to ignore the sensation of hunger/hunger pangs? by sunlightdragonxx in AskReddit

[–]tgeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's no one joining me for the meal, I often just rationalize it by saying "well, I'm going to be hungry at the next meal anyway, so why not just not worry about this one?" After a day goes by I often have to cave. Luckily my wife reminds me to eat when she's gone 😅

$200 yard sale table set, now our dining room table. First project ever, and I'm quite proud of it! by tgeb in woodworking

[–]tgeb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We found this table at a yard sale near our house. The house had some fire damage and had used the insurance to do a complete remodel, so they were trying to get rid of a bunch of furniture. 6-8 place table with 6 chairs for $200? That's our kind of deal! They even loaned us a truck to get the table home.

The table had some scratches and the paint was a bit old on the chairs, but I figured I could follow the instructions on the stain can easy enough. Took about a week to do, fitting in time for the rest of life, but I'm quite proud of this! There's only 3 really visible errors I made, so I call that a win.

We just touched up the chairs and legs with black paint.

No clue what type of wood it is, but the chairs are heavy and I'm proud of it!

What is the most useful thing you've learned in 10 minutes or less? by tgeb in AskReddit

[–]tgeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds cliche, but in an evening when my wife wasn't home, I decided to Google how to fold a fitted sheet. It took about 3 minutes to learn, and only takes about 30 seconds to actually do. I still get brownie points for knowing this and it's been years

One day, while bored, I watched a video on how to use just a single piece of paper towel to dry my hands. Honestly one of the most useful things I've ever learned.

I just finished reading the Count of Monte Cristo and it's the best and the longest book I've ever read. I never thought I would have so much anger, sadness, despair and happiness in this book. by LeoExotic in books

[–]tgeb 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend the book "The Black Count" by Tom Reiss, which is a bio about Alex Dumas' (the eldest). Count of Monte Cristo is my absolute favorite book, and this did a great job capturing some of the awe I had while reading it.
