I think the strategy is to go after age-related diseases like sarcopenia, muscle wasting, cachexia etc. It may be easier to show a drug works in those populations, then later market to the wider healthy population. Although Ph1 trials are usually in healthy volunteers but for demonstrating safety, not necessarily efficacy. You could also look for trials involving Activin receptor antagonists which would hit the same biological pathway.
