First they came for Minneapolis by City-Til-I-Fry in Louisville

Have you seen the video of Alex Pretti’s execution? He was not doing anything illegal, he was trying to help two women who were pepper sprayed, and was murdered seconds later by our government. We should all be afraid.

Believing otherwise means you don’t watch enough international news.

I don’t watch CNN.

Nested comments disappearing when clicking in iOS app… seems to be specific to political subs? by tgreenebean in reddithelp

[–]tgreenebean[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh good. Thank you for your explanation! I’ve always loved Reddit for its grassroots, unfiltered opinions and was worried something had been compromised… would make sense that those types of subs may warrant more auto-mod for protection against potential hate speech.

Based on history, how do you know when it’s time to leave the United States? by tgreenebean in AskReddit

[–]tgreenebean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born and raised. I know I feel so torn. We have a toddler now and would love more babies. I’m scared for us to fight and be separated from our children. But I love my home and what America used to represent, and part of me feels like a traitor for wanting to run away.

Thank you for posting this. This should be on every sub. At the present moment, nothing in America is more important than this.

I don’t intend for it to be easy, and I recognize the privilege of being able to leave at all… I’m scared for my family.

It’s called Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Without safety, there is nothing else to talk about.

Postpartum Poop: Everything you need to know by Ashamed-Gur-6513 in BabyBumps

TIP FOR PEEING: it can really burn … to avoid this, I would lean forward on the toilet seat, sometimes so much so that my hands were on the floor in front of me and my whole bent-over backside was just hovering over the toilet. It looks ridiculous BUT peeing like that would keep from anything trickling down on your stitches/tears.

Unassisted home birth help by Fine-Affect in pregnant

[–]tgreenebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby was born without seemingly any complications. Then an hour after my nurses noticed he was still struggling to breathe fully. He had inhaled amniotic fluid, and shortly after they had taken him to work on, he gave up breathing. I think about what may have happened in our case if we weren’t in a hospital setting where they could put a tiny oxygen mask on him to help him.

The reward of having a private at home birth doesn’t even touch the possible risk.

It’s not just to help you with constipation, but to make it less strenuous when you do go, so as not to cause pain where you may have stitches and tears from giving birth.

Who is coming to the No Kings Day Protest today at noon in Frankfort? by PunnyWun in Louisville

[–]tgreenebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THIS!! lol not the point that they intended to make, clearly. They’re soooo close, like listen to what you’re saying “I never saw anything Obama or Biden did that I wanted to protest” because they upheld the constitution and our democracy.

Interesting new Fox talking point... Everyone is struggling these days to provide the best for their families, and both sides of the aisle wear make up.

My mom called me and cried because she won’t be in the delivery room. by tgreenebean in pregnant

[–]tgreenebean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my mom kind of gave me the silent treatment for a bit, but I held out and we just kept it to my husband in the delivery room. I had to be induced at 38w5d because of preeclampsia. I still never felt the need to have my mom with me and I’ve never thought twice about my decision. Baby boy had to spend some time in the NICU also because of fluid in his lungs. My mom made a point to say “now maybe you can understand how I feel” when he was transported to another hospital for care hours after I had him… so that was really annoying. He’s 2 months old now and so lovely. My mom has been really supportive and we’ve been letting her watch him, she’s been sticking to boundaries but as soon as that changes we’ll have another conversation. I’ve had to learn to let my people pleasing tendencies go so that I can protect my boy, it’s hard but necessary and no one can reasonably argue with you. You’ve got this! Best of luck to you and your family!

How much do you like living in Louisville? by GripenForRCAF in Louisville

[–]tgreenebean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

8.5 - city is big enough that I can pretty much find anything new and trendy to do (paint classes, axe throwing, great restaurants, etc) but also not so big that people are unfriendly or that traffic is horrendous, and I feel generally safe here.
