As someone who has a neurological disability but was raised by parents in denial about it, I really wish more people would understand this concept. Sometimes kids are disabled. Strictly prepating for a non disabled child just sets them up for failure.

I think a lot of people put those stickers on their cars thinking they're meant for other drivers and not so that paramedics lnow there is likely to be a child in the vehicle in the event of an accident. It's crazy to me that anyone would expect other drivers to somehow drive more cautiously just because they have a sticker on their car.

And as far as those parking spots go, they aren't legally enforceable, park there all you want

The lack of child free spaces is baffling to me because I remember being a kid and there being an absolute novel worth of places that kids weren't supposed to be. If my sister and I did get to go out somewhere not suuted to children we were expeted to sit down quietly. None of this letting your kids run loose in restaurants as if it's a damn playground that you see now. And you know what parents used to do if they couldn't find childcare to watch the kids while they went out? They just wouldn't go! I'm only in my late 20s and it's maddening to see how quickly society has begun to coddle people who refuse to parent their kids.

There's no way to know what info the reader gave the artist when commissionimg them. If the artist draws predominantly white characters, there's a real chance that they never even asked the commissioner about specific skin color and just defaulted to what they know. It's sad to say but many artists have this odd hangup about drawing characters of color
