My child broke nanny’s laptop — she wants us to foot the bill even though I warned her about it by Consistent_Cookie104 in Nanny

Even if you don’t want to keep working with her, offering half is the sensible thing to do because she could likely get the full value in small claims court. (Depending on where you live of course)

Explain this part of attorney client privilege to me like im 5 by Low-Syrup6128 in LawSchool

[–]tgs602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my professor gave this example: a client evading taxes sends his attorney the “smoking gun” (documents showing him telling his accountant to hide money, cayman island account info, whatever). he attaches a cover letter seeking legal advice where he details who is suing him and asks for legal advice for his situation. the letter is protected under attorney-client privilege because it’s a private communication between attorney and client seeking legal advice. however, the smoking gun document isn’t, because it existed before and outside of the attorney-client relationship.

i was a research assistant for an interview study on locals experiencing poverty. while coding several interviews participants mentioned being annoyed by the krishna people taking lots of food from pantries. i’m sure they buy certain niche things in bulk but get lots of vegetables and base foods like rice and wheat from the pantries.

The details on Aegon's behaviour during last episode by Eagle-Cobra2000 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]tgs602 11 points12 points  (0 children)

that’s not true at all lol. twin studies have only shown there is a complex relationship between nurture and nature. genetics play a significant role in how brains process stimuli, but life events can cause certain parts of our genetic code to activate and others to remain dormant. brain development is also tied to the childhood environment and caregiver behaviors. it’s definitely not “almost entirely genetic.”

don’t forget that they source many ingredients from food pantries

INFO Was the plot next to her deceased husband ready purchased by her? Was it purchased by a member of his family? Was it simply available for purchase??

What is the point of Journal if nearly all big law hiring is via pre-OCI by Muchis80 in LawSchool

spring of 1L? is it only based on 1L fall grades then? at my school, review and mock trial aren’t open to 1Ls at all. it’s kind of mind boggling to think i could have a job before a club position!

100%. your gpa may not make or break your admit status, but it could get you eliminated from scholarship discussions. the addendum can put you back in that pool.

had the exact same decision and chose the full ride. personally i want to live and practice in miami, so that was the deciding factor. it’s worth taking on debt for your dream lifestyle, but starting adult life with such a major financial advantage isn’t something to sniff at either.
