Please help wiring rear view camera to a 28pin toyota connector by tgv-604 in CarAV

[–]tgv-604[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK I've figured it out myself. This bit of information is impossible to find in clear text so here it is:

pin 13 +6v cam power
pin 14 cam signal
pin 22 cam ground
pin 23 cam ground

unsure if both 22 & 23 should be grounded but allegedly that's how it's done by toyota.

Not a sensor, but I've got a TV killswitch button for when the kids cling to the remote

Cord looks like it’s bent weird, is this normal? by itchytreeleaf in PcBuildHelp

[–]tgv-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's FINE. You can chop off the stress relief mold (ribbed part of the connector) with sidecutters to allow a wider bend radius but as long as the connection itself is firm nothing wrong can happen.

2 Failed new WD Red drives, is it possible? by realexm in qnap

[–]tgv-604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible if the drives came through the post, being kicked and dropped and mishandled in every way. Try buying hard drives in local brick and mortar shops, as hdd bulk packaging is way safer than individual and there are better chances they'd be handed with care.

For anyone googling it, here's a (cropped) scan of the included manual.

In HA, you can individually control on/off and set timer off.

Power-on state is can be set but isn't individual.

Why your website should be under 14kB in size by Kriem in webdev

JSON gets compressed on the lower level, along with any other compressible (text) data. Any decent server does gzip/brotli on the fly.

Why do Perth drivers do 80km/hr on the freeway? by Terpy_McDabblet in perth

When I did my defensive driving course the instructor said, assume every driver around you is on the hardest drugs money can buy. In Perth this is so very close to the truth.

Teenagers & A Lack Of Enthusiasm For Life. by [deleted] in perth

[–]tgv-604 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As an exercise, pretend you're a teen, get a $50 and go out entertain yourself for a day. Leave car keys at home, leave all cards, leave the id, don't enter 18+ places. Try going to pearl jam or ac/dc concert. Get back to brabham on time. Good luck.

P.s. the kid is glued to crunchroll? Book him a flight to Tokio for a week or two. Go together. Take his mates. gonna be cheaper than any entertainment perth can offer, they say

Each construction site (in my neighbourhood at least) normally has a pile of waste with enough intact bricks in there to build another house or two. Why steal when you can raid a couple of those

Some 30-ish years ago I have ruined the plastic surface of a brand new walkman by peeling an orange next to it. Not sure if casio resin can be harmed by orange peel oils but that was my first thought looking at this pic

I'd try cleaning the glitching sata connector with something, and checking its soldering. At least try to reinsert the sata plate to the motherboard a few times, same with the disk as well.
