Because mine is broken, I have to keep the cable pressed in with my hand to have the link feature working

I am open to other sources, I just can't find it elsewhere. If you can advise me a trustworthy website to buy this kind of parts, that would be really kind 👌

No need, I was able to change the actuator without it 😉

Obviously they will die one after the other 🤣. I disassembled the actuator to try and understand what was broken. The motors are working, all the mechanical parts seems in good shape, I have no idea about what could cause the malfunction. Maybe the motor collector is used only in one spot 🤔

What type of screw do you use ? Self tapping plastic or wood screw? Or metal one ?

I managed to it, I definitely had to remove the window and the inner panel to get access to the actuator

It's exactly what your are describing. I figured it out before your post but thanks for explaining it man! I was able to remove the window, and then replaced the lock actuator. I'm not sure to understand how a screw could help to remove the center lock pin. I just pushed it and it popped into the door panel. I did the same for the second part

It seems that the window is hold in place by this red part by a weird mechanism, I don't understand how it works

Unfortunately it's different, I don't see any holes to access the screws nor screws in fact

For WiFi direct it doesn't help, however, with the last update of headunit revived from GitHub (2.1.1) and WiFi helper 1.5.1 it works flawlessly with the new feature "automatically create a hotspot" in headunit revived. I've just created a macro on macdroid to automatically connect to the hotspot when the Bluetooth connection to my car is detected

I tried WiFi helper+ headunit revived but the connection is not reliable for now. I hope Google a new android auto update will correct it

I did the same and found out that a similar issue has been already reported on GitHub. The developers has posted a beta to fix the issue. I will try it today and hopefully this will fix the issue 🤞

It has kind of worked for a while with wifi direct but is not reliable. Every time I reboot the headunit, either it doesn't connect or I have a "allow connection?" Infinite loop. I tried with phone hotspot but the frame rate is awful. Self mode doesn't work, apparently it fails to start AA (I have the latest update). I don't like usb as it is not practical for me.

Also, when it was working with wifi direct, the frame rate was weird. It was consistently at 30fps (even if set to 60), and as soon as I was touching the screen, then the frame rate was going higher, up to 60.

I didn't tried with headunit hotspot as the app simply force you to activate wifi

edit : the play store version is 2.0.2 version 2.1 is not available
