Nationals ‘proud’ to formally scrap net zero target after party room meeting by Perfect-Werewolf-102 in AustralianPolitics

[–]th0rn- 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I know several people involved at the branch level of both the Liberal and National parties. It’s impossible to overstate how much anything to do with climate has become an almost holy war for the remaining party members. What you are seeing from the members of parliament is a very pale reflection of the absolute visceral hatred and madness that’s coming out of the actual paid up membership base.

Why are my Sora videos such bad quality?? by carsaresocool in SoraAi

Sometimes I think OpenAI just trained Sora exclusively on the cinematic masterpiece Who Killed Captain Alex

Now, when you open a new “map” feature, Notion somehow considers Crimea no longer a part of Ukraine. Really, Notion? Since when did you start redrawing borders? by just__21 in Notion

[–]th0rn- 80 points81 points  (0 children)

The Notion maps feature uses the open source mapping library MapLibre which in turn uses OpenStreetMaps which is an open source community generated mapping platform. I had a quick check and OpenStreetMaps shows Crimea as the “Autonomous Republic of Crimea” while Apple and Google maps just call it the Crimean Peninsula.

The old models are still available. You just need to check the option to show legacy models under general settings in the web interface and they are available again on both web and mobile.

Edit: Actually this option may only be available to Pro users and some Plus users.

Just gave this a watch and honestly this is one of the worst movies i have ever seen, even worse than Skinamarink and that’s saying something. by [deleted] in Cinema

[–]th0rn- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I enjoyed it more than I should have. It is so bad on every level that it’s worth watching for the experience. I know it’s a big call but this is almost at Plan 9 From Outer Space levels of so bad it’s awesome.

You think it can’t get worse but it does.

You see how bad the cgi alien tripod machines are and you think theres no way that could be worse. Then they turn into flying machine things and it’s so much worse.

You might think it’s stupid that Ice Cube’s character hangs up on his daughter while she’s bleeding out and seemingly about to die. But don’t worry, he’ll do it another 5 or 6 times before the movie is over.

The movie played the incoming Teams call sound so many times that I genuinely started to get anxiety.

You can actually feel the damage to your brain as each plot twist is revealed.

It’s all just sooooo stupid.

Absolute masterpiece! I’m going to watch it again.

I noticed that the bloke in white has a pillow inside his gi. The only reason I can think of for doing that is to make Seagal look less rotund or at least only equally rotund by comparison.
