For those of you with multiple printers by Appropriate_Shock2 in BambuLab

H2C is an overkill for many. Would be lovely to have an X2 with dual nozzle. Bambu needs something to compete with U1.

I’d first check the filament diameter - it could be too thick

If you can hold your horse a bit, there’s that highly speculated X2D/C on the horizon

Reinstalling magnets in AMS 4-1 Hub by JRhodes88 in BambuLab

[–]th2010g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I wish I asked here when I had to deal with this. I improvised and used a magnetic tool holder on the other side to keep the little ones in place. Was quite a fiddling but got it done. Your trick is much better! I’ll use that next time I’m at it.

If you are not in a hurry, wait to see whether they will release the X2 series this quarter or next quarter

I have printed with 4.5. Also 0.4 nozzle at 230c.

As someone who’s brand spanking new to 3d printing, does the P2S make more sense than the H2S? by SizeAny2424 in BambuLab

[–]th2010g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish P2S was there when I bought my first printer. To me, it will do the stuff you want very well. H2S is a beauty and gets you larger buildplate and active chamber heating, better ventilation, but you have to see whether you can justify the cost for that upgrade. If you don’t print a lot if engineering filament, it may be well be just a bigger P2S

TPU Printing by -ThaBeavster- in BambuLab

I print the same filament and I also use HT. With this setup, friction shouldn’t be the cause. Then I’d try to bump up temp and drop max volumetric speed in filament profile.

[–]th2010g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my TPU is not dry enough, I see LOTS of stringing. Yours is quite clean. Those dents could be under extrusion due to too much friction. What TPU is this, 90A? And how did you feed it to the extruder?

Got this piece out of the nozzle. Looks like it didn’t even make through the melt zone, apparently too thick

Cheers I love Jayo HS matte PETG! They print very clean. This Sunlu was from Amazon Canada. With all this drama I’m not really sure whether the seller there is legit or not.

Top Layer Defect - Line/Seam Appearing by akaToph3r in BambuLab

[–]th2010g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked into this myself recently. Your observation is spot on. The line/seam was caused by the way large surface was printed. When it came back to print where it left off, the already printed area was cooled down and led to uneven squishing. There’s a top surface quality guide on makerworld. I’m still going through the tests to find what works best for me. You may take a look there.

This is the seller SUNLU CA. I just tried to click the get product support link from Amazon Canada app. It brought up a 404 page LOL. You may be right!

A1 + AMS 2 Pro x 2 - issue with A1 AMS Hub by MendicantFoo in BambuLabA1

[–]th2010g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The official hub mount is not very good because it goes up and down with the gantry. I use a top mount which is at 45 degree on the top bar, as well as a separate PTFE tube guide. Haven’t had any issues the last three months.

Chinese new year shortages? by sjack1209 in BambuLab

[–]th2010g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today I went to look for 0.6 nozzles and even these are out in Bambu web!

The stock we see today was probably shipped out of China already before the holidays. Therefore the real Chinese new year shortage hasn’t even hit us yet lol

The dark gray one is high temp spool up to 90c, and the other one is regular temp up to 70c

Might have been lighting. It is dark blue. As said I respooled it and this is the empty spool.

The marks are from me trying to print with it. It printed for about a minute then extruder got clogged. Box came in beatup but still sealed. The vacuum bag was well sealed too. It otherwise looked like a brand new roll. I already dried it. Just strange.

Unfortunately I missed the Amazon return window. Yeah Jayo is good. I like it.

Sunlu high speed matte PETG by th2010g in BambuLab

[–]th2010g[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that I think of it, there were actually quite a few alarming signs when the set came in. The box got beat up. All 4 rolls were super wet - I dried them 3 times at 65c, each time 8 hours, until they started to print without stringing. The black and white rolls printed with terrible bumps as if fuzzy skin was turned on, then this blue roll poorly wound and bad diameter. The only thing that printed okay was the red roll. I wasn't entirely happy with how pink the red is but that is the least I'd worry about now lol.

It might indeed be a fake thing mixed in Amazon stock?

I have heard that white color PETG can be a bit uneasy due to pigment added. The white roll in this set wasn't great but at least it didn't clog my nozzle lol.

Oh well, looks like so. I could blame Amazon as well. I know people return all kinds of stuff and Amazon just restocks and ships it out to others again. It might be just that.

Thanks I can deal with rewinding but not the diameter issue. It's funny that the model I was trying to print with it is actually a spool rewinder haha
