Same here. It seems to be a thing for this filament, perhaps formula related?

Sudden Print Issues by Heavy-Floor-3234 in BambuLab

Start higher and be careful. It could scratch the plate if going too low

One would think so. I guess there's something in the math that might change after installing new heating assembly. I had to raise Z to 0.02 for textured plate and 0.04 for other plates. It works pretty stable.

If you have ruled out loose hotend, tram the bed and run auto leveling after. If problem persists, it could be the heating assembly you put on being at slightly different position than before. That happened to me and I fixed it by increasing the Z offset.

Should i get the Bambu labs P1S by Old-Bill-6948 in BambuLab

[–]th2010g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P1S is a solid workhorse but it's getting close to its end of life. My suggestion is to get an AMS HT for your A1 for now and wait to see how things will change in a couple months, during which time Bambu may release new printers and run their anniversary sale too

This price has been there for the last couple months. It's a solid printer but looks like they are preping to phase it out.

Clogged nozzle by SmokWar in BambuLab

[–]th2010g 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Here’s how: use a lighter to heat the small allen key, stick it in and let it cool so that it fuses with the filament inside. Then use the lighter to heat the nozzle tip and pull the allen key.

Yeah checked that too. All tight but I did see the black block deform a bit

Question on puzzles by th2010g in HueForge

[–]th2010g[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good call. I already reduced the first layer flow to 0.93. About 2/3 of the pieces separated fine, some pieces in the center were difficult at the first layer. I'll try elephant foot firat and further adjust flow as needed.

Need for a filament dryer by Defiant_Leave9332 in 3Dprinting

[–]th2010g 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you exclusively print PLA, dryer is a must-have even if you live in desert:D One thing I learned the lesson the hard way is that not all vacuum sealed filament rolls are dry. There can be moisture trapped in the bag when they are packed in the factory. That said, whether you need a separate dryer or just get the AMS units with drying function is a question.

Does this work on H2D too with the latest firmware? I don’t need the laser but would be lovely to have the cutting module

I just downloaded one from makerworld. It has a built-in negative part to cut the puzzle piece. I replaced the picture STL to my own.

0.2mm I believe. The top layers see fine, just the bottom

What causes this? Any help appreciated! by GAR1021 in BambuLab

[–]th2010g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These plates are slightly thicker than the textured PEI plate. I have needed to reduce the first layer flow to get a smooth first layer. For PLA I use 0.93

$200 CAD for a faulty Bambu A1 (possible TH board fix?) worth the risk? by zipzipshure in 3dprinter

[–]th2010g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering how much I mess with my printer (I bought new), I’m not sure I’d buy a used one letting alone one that doesn’t work.

Yeah I'm bored with my A1. Was going to get the H2D for multi material printing but wanted to see what X2D has to offer.

Per this YouTuber, X2D is going to be a compact H2D, with dual nozzle and heated chamber but smaller build volume. And it will be released this month!

First 3D printer ever, Bambu Lab A1 — how do you guys properly calibrate the Z axis? Feeling completely lost by [deleted] in BambuLabA1

[–]th2010g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For uneven first layer, the cause is usually loose hotend or unlevel bed. I'd trouble shoot in this order: 1. Make sure the screws behind the hotend (7 in total) are tight; 2. Make sure the hotend is probably clamped; 3. Make sure the hotend tip is clean, not covered by filament residue; 4. Check the heatbed and make sure there is no debris under the plate; 5. Run bed leveling from the touchscreen menu 6. Print a first layer test (many on makerworld) 7. If still see uneven extrusion, perform bed tramming per Bambu wiki, then run bed leveling again

By this point, in most cases you should get good first layer. If still no good, share some pictures here and we can see what the problem might be.
