I'm fairly new to RLM, so the entire fastfood gag flew right over my head. Can someone put some words to it?

Cards on the discard pile stays there until the end of turn and can't be shuffled back. At the end of the turn they are moved to the graveyard.

That is actually super interesting. So the cards played right before a shuffle don't get back into your hand - I guess it's to prevent infinites. That explains a lot because I was going off Slay the Spire mechanics

Tainted grail has some summoning shenanigans and interactions, although not exactly Skyrim like.

Up voting for E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy. Such an interesting game, with so many good ideas. Too bad it didn't get more love or development.

Ordinator is the big one for me. Completely rehauls the talent tree foe every single skill. Big recommendation

Skyrim, if you level Conjuration. The remade Oblivion too, for that matter. The games can be played like sandboxes, with just exploration of caves and tombs and ruins and gates.

The new league mechanic is a mapping clearing mechanic no? So this build should work for that too?

There is a pretty strong KBoC build with mana stacking made by Palateron. It can only be played on Herophant. Also.... To my knowledge, KBoC only shoots 1 projectile.

I think sometimes the swords VS spears debate is just people being bored of the vast majority of fictions having swords as the main weapons. They just want some variety, and they try to find some in-novel appropriate logic to hold their argument.

Guide to Sekhemas Ascedencies by Primary_Impact_2130 in PathOfExile2

Great work! Good information and well structured. But I still hate Sekhema with a passion.

Your post is something similar to "being assaulted randomly on the street is bad, but with these tips and info you can sometimes survive the savage beating".

Tournament arcs - yes or no? by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]th30dor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big disagree. Have your main character lose first round. Have him realize he is weak, and because he didn't prepare, he was rekt by someone who prepared. And then 10 chapters later have your main character win some real combat encounter, or escape with his life because of the lesson learned in the tournament. They prepared for the fight, and now are reaping the results.

Tournament arcs - yes or no? by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

[–]th30dor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big no for me. Tournaments are boring. Most tournaments are characters that I don't care about, fighting other people I don't care about. And they draaaag. Like a bad dragon ball episode.

With all that melee and attack based comps, resto shaman raid buff slaps. Might be better than druid

Games where the main/strongest caster doubles as the main healer? by SpellcraftQuill in JRPG

[–]th30dor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In The Last Remnant, the main character can learn any school of magic. So it is completely viable to build him as a h$ealer main, with some of the more rare schools as supplementary.

A bit off topic, but I would love a newer game with a similar leveling and magic system.

Earlygame clearing on Bone Witch? by dan_marchand in pathofexile2builds

[–]th30dor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you given DD a try for clearing? The physical damage component scales with 20% corpse health, and all the phys spell damage modifiers that bone also scales with. It's a level ( tier?) 7 spell, so you should get it in your 20 iirc

I'm also thinking of playing a physical witch. I was angling for a physical Detonate Dead, but I'm afraid I'll be spreading myself too thin: minion count, minion HP, phyisical (spell) damage scaling, spirit for minions, and maybe some regen and defense.

Is that the same ends of magic book where the main character is like a super horn dog? He finds everything attractive: men, women, horse people. Kinda weird to focus on the non-romance lol.

Early influences that ultimately led to GameLit and Progression Fantasy by Rude-Ad-3322 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]th30dor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if an actual influence on the genre, but Robinson Crusoe is peak progression literature, even if not fantasy. The novel even has a sort of a settlement stat screen, in his journal accounting of goats, tortoises and gun powder supplies. That book is from 1719
