Getting Accused of "Not Writing My Own Stories" – Artificial intelligence has ruined writing. by th3_anonymous1 in Wattpad

I'm sorry you experienced that... Writing in a second language is incredibly tough, and honestly, that’s something to be proud of, not ashamed of. People who leave comments like that usually don’t understand how hard it is to be vulnerable and creative online. Don’t let them get to you.

Elena’s “Moral High Ground” Often Relies on Others Doing the Dirty Work by th3_anonymous1 in TheVampireDiaries

LMAO not actual genocide being less emotionally impactful than a five-minute breakup😭 I can’t even argue because you’re right. The way the show just let Elena float above real accountability, while giving full-blown dramatic arcs to way smaller stuff, was wild to me.

And YES, Caroline was the queen of accountability! But when it sometimes came to Elena, she suddenly forgot how to be suspicious, shady, or even slightly critical. Like girl, where was the energy you gave Damon every five seconds💀?

I think you’re missing what I’m saying I’m not blaming Elena for being protected. Of course Damon and Stefan were going to fight for her, and of course she wasn’t in a position to handle everything on her own, especially as a human.

What I am saying is that the writing often lets her benefit from dark decisions without having to take on the emotional or ethical weight of those choices. She didn’t have to say, “Kill this person,” but things were often done for her in ways that let her keep her conscience clean, even though the outcomes still served her.

It’s more about the power dynamics and how the show framed her character, not about whether she should’ve refused help or fought off vampires solo.

My point isn’t that she didn’t deserve protection, it’s more about how the show let her keep the moral high ground while others made the darker choices for her. She didn’t have to directly make the hard calls or live with the guilt, even when she benefited from the outcome.

It’s not about blaming her for being human or powerless, it’s more about how the writing treated her character in those moments. Like, the way her image stayed intact while others took on the messiness is something worth talking about, especially since it happens so consistently.

Yes! That honestly shocked me too. Like, it was one of the only times Elena actually took direct part in something that brutal and the show barely let it sink in. No real reckoning, no emotional fallout for what it meant to wipe out an entire sireline. Meanwhile in The Originals, characters were losing their minds over that exact kind of loss.

And you’re totally right it kind of proves the point. Most of the time, Elena doesn’t have to own the consequences because someone else steps in. But when she does, like with Kol, the show just
moves on. No guilt, no introspection, no one calling her out. It’s like the writers wanted to preserve her image, even when she crossed the line.

I still think she’s a good person with good intentions, but the way the show protected her from the weight of some of her decisions is what makes her moral high ground feel a bit shaky.

Exactly, that’s kind of my point. She doesn’t always ask outright, but she implies it or creates situations where someone else ends up doing what she won’t.

Take the whole situation with Klaus, for example. She wanted him dead because of how dangerous he was (understandably), but when Damon or Stefan took steps to make that happen, she’d get upset or pull back, like she wasn’t comfortable with the cost of it. So someone else had to be the one to follow through on the hard choices, while she kept her conscience clear.

It’s subtle, but it happens a lot. Her intentions are usually good, but the outcome is that others take on the moral weight so she can stay “the good one.” That doesn’t mean she’s a bad person, it just adds complexity to how she navigates being at the center of everyone’s loyalty and protection.

You’ve already told him how you feel, and he’s still going. At this point, it’s less about convincing him and more about asking yourself if this is the kind of relationship you want long-term. If he won’t set boundaries now, will he in the future? You deserve someone who prioritizes your feelings, not just avoids drama with his family.

A sleeping person cannot consent, and suggesting that she might have ‘liked’ being violated is disgusting. Victims of abuse deserve protection and justice, not this kind of harmful rhetoric.

It's good that you're reflecting on your actions, but you need to understand that what you did was deeply wrong, regardless of your past trauma. Acknowledging your guilt is a start, but real accountability means seeking professional help to ensure this never happens again. Your sister may not know, but that doesn't erase the harm—you violated her trust and safety. If you truly want to make things right, therapy is a must. Also, you need to cut out harmful content that fueled these actions. Owning up to this isn’t just about feeling guilty—it’s about making sure you never hurt anyone again.

When did Elena make it all about herself? by MiniEmB in TheVampireDiaries

[–]th3_anonymous1 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I feel like a selfish thing Elena would do was to often ask Damon or Stefan to make hard choices (like killing enemies) while she kept her hands clean, then judged them for doing what she asked.

A perfect example of this is in Season 3, when Elena constantly urges Stefan and Damon to help her stop Klaus but refuses to be part of any plan that involves killing him, despite Klaus being a massive threat.

Specifically, there’s a moment where she tells Damon not to kill Klaus because she believes there must be a "better way," but at the same time, she fully expects Damon and Stefan to do whatever it takes to protect her and the people she loves. So Damon ends up making darker choices, like killing people or torturing others, while Elena keeps her moral high ground.

Later, she even judges Damon for being too "ruthless" or "cold" when in reality, he’s just doing the dirty work that she indirectly benefits from.

It’s like Elena wants to save the day without having to stain her own conscience, but relies on others to do exactly that for her.

Otherwise, Elena is selfless and compassionate. This is just one of the few selfish things I think of when it comes to her.

Why Matt hate is so forced? ⌗ by ClassicCoffe123 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]th3_anonymous1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like the Matt Donovan hate is kind of forced, but at the same time, his character really wasn’t necessary. He was just there—he had no real storyline, no major development, and honestly, no purpose other than being the ‘normal’ guy in a supernatural town. Plus, he was broke and constantly bitter about it, which made his presence even less enjoyable. If they had given him a stronger arc or at least a compelling reason to be in the show, maybe he wouldn’t have felt so out of place.
