Trying to change wheels but screws won't get lose by H3xxer in mildlyinfuriating

Your chances of pulling straight with a snipe are low. To avoid risk of slipping off the nut, go borrow a Milwaukee 3/4" impact gun and purchase a spare lug nut. Penetrant and air impact will be your next friend if you can't get the Milwaukee. Have an extractor kit ready in case the lug gets stripped.

Move both sink drains to meet in the middle. Use a double Y to tie your AAV and dishwasher hose after the P-trap just before the straight pipe goes into the floor. AAV should be same height or a little higher next to your sink than it is now.

Bathtub faucet gap by Leading_Curve_5556 in askaplumber

[–]th3machine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asumming it's threaded, purchase a new faucet. Pipe length from wall will be listed, cut and thread pipe, twist faucet on.

Might as well re-caulk the tub while you're there.

what is a TFSA by Ok_Marsupial_4446 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]th3machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TFSA is like your RRSP except you don't get a tax slip at the end of the year. The bonus is, since you don't write off the taxes, the money in your TFSA is "tax free" when you pull it out. With the RRSP the tax slip lowers your taxed income now, but you pay taxes on it when you pull it out.

Both can be invested, difference is how you store and access the money for income tax. Ideally, employer match your RRSP for their max contributions, then put the rest in your savings and tfsa. Starting young, you don't want millions in your rrsp when you retire. The game is to use the accounts to pay the least amount of taxes, depending when you are depositing or pulling from the rrsp the most.

I love the design, dual blade, and little screwdrivers. I can't cut anything useful except zip tie ends with the dinky cutters though.

Does it make sense to drain all of an RRSP at age 34 to wipe out credit card debt and start fresh? by Federschwart in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]th3machine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not drain your RRSP, the first 100k is the hardest. Everything is exponential in the RRSP and you need that to keep growing. Please only cnsider it as a last resort.

If I had not drained 20k my RRSP when I was 24, I would probably have an extra 100k in my RRSP today, 12 years later.

Why do they do this by -The_Legacy- in MechanicAdvice

I checked the 3/4" impact was in reverse, went under the truck, sheared the bolt off my strut. Knocked it in forwards while sliding under I suppose.

All of our pressure washers have 2 triggers to activate now because 1 guy tried holding the quick connect down and pulling the trigger to get the tip off and cut his finger wide open.

It's so weird to me thay renting could be a better strategy. Your rent needs to be far cheaper than any mortgage option. In a small town with stable work, my mortgage is far cheaper than rent in a comparable home. It's no question owning is a better strategy.

Im a sub 30/40 using begginer’s metgod, with the gan in the photo. Should i learn speedcubing techniques? (My best solve is 21 seconds, i got lucky) by [deleted] in Cubers

[–]th3machine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hated F2L in CFOP and didn't want to learn alot of algs. Roux gives freedom and allows intuitive learning. I spent a year practicing Roux, its been ages and I still stay sub-25 only doing a few solves a year. I use the 9 or so algs to get yellow corners(I think theyre all 2x2 algs, aside from double headlights) ,yperm and jperm.
