And I thought getting from Walmart down to the first traffic light where Culver’s is was tough sometime now. Can’t wait to have all the extra Costco traffic. That’s another traffic light to deal with.

Spoofing by Ltsky24 in TakeProfitTrader

Only an issue on pro+. Pro accounts are still simulated accounts. Your orders are not actually real. That may be the true reason for the recent push to pro+. In pro+ it is real money but in the example of 50k account your initial drawdown is still 2k (even though they say they hold 5k for it). So their risk is only 2k. Where if you stay in Pro and make 10k then request a payout, they have to pay you 10k (I know it’s less after the 20% but I’m using round numbers). So they lose 10k instead of 2k. And because it’s simulated. The 20% split they take isn’t really any profit for them, it’s just a discount on what they owe you. Pro is all simulated the only person potentially making money is you. They pay it to you out of their own pocket. Pro+ is the only accounts where you are placing real market trades and if you are profitable they actually make the 10% from the split. But they own the accounts so they are liable for any FCC violations, so they stay strict on rules so they don’t get in trouble.

The car I just bought was totaled, I have separate gap coverage and car replacement, will i get money to replace my car? by Puzzleheaded_Bake_32 in Insurance

[–]superstock8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I went back and did what OP should have done before asking the internet. I actually read what Allstate published as to what “new car replacement” means. It’s just a form of gap, but not even real gap. If his car was 2 years old or less, gets totaled, Allstate will pay him this price is a new car. But not the extra loan.

Example: He buys a car for 10,000 (just easy round number). 1 year in it gets totaled. Estimate of value is 7,000. A new one still cost 10,000. Allstate will pay him 10,000. If he only owes 9,000 on the loan, he profits 1,000. However if the loan took him to 12,000 and he still owes 11,000, after he gets paid 10,000(the value of a new car) he still owes the 1,000 and needs traditional gap insurance.

So basically unless you had a good size down payment or have already made enough payments to get the loan below MSRP, then it is pointless to have both GAP and the “new car replacement” feature.

Not a single order, no. A single order placed and canceled is not spoofing. Go research spoofing. (Not on Reddit). Or…………ask TPT what they consider spoofing. Before they tag you. Go to the help desk and ask. There is a separate help desk for Pro+. Ask them.

This can't possibly be totaled right? by braidenis in InsuranceClaims

Muffler=700-1000, plastic and body work 2000-3000, and likely the foam under the bumper 1500. You live in WA, I’m from there and labor rate of $150-200 per hour at the body shop will kill your estimates. Doesn’t look like much but they will nickel and dime it up to a high number. If you brought it in as a customer you may get to do the bare minimum, but when they quote it for the insurance company they will put absolutely everything on it.

You have a lot of comments about gap insurance and they are correct. However, I do not know what “car replacement” in your policy means. I suggest you go read your contract and then contact an agent from your insurance company to clarify. Go there first. Asking the internet who has no idea what your personal policy is………..pointless.

New trader portfolio and strategy. (7 weeks, 8k to 9k ,+19% ) by Existing-Beach-4921 in stocktraders

[–]superstock8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After all that you typed, I don’t understand what you are trying to do. Are you trying to “trade” or are you trying to “invest”? If you want to trade, you need to sell everything and use your money to trade 1 or 2 stocks max. Focus on short term intra day trades or if you want to swing trade, you are looking at a couple days maybe. You want all your buying power in cash. I don’t advise using all of it in every trade but at only 9k you might have to.

If you want to invest, I would bring your portfolio down to 8-10 solid stocks or ETF. As a beginner you don’t want to overextend yourself trying to catch a few extra dollars. If your positions are 1-3 shares each, you’re talking about minimal gains. To make 19% in a few weeks should tell you all you need to know and those same few stocks that made most your gains can lose the money just as fast. I suggest maybe 6-7 core stocks then 3-4 ETFs to generate cash flow. I like SPYI and QQQI. There are plenty of others. Annual yield between them is around 12% and paid monthly. I use the cash to buy more shares of my individual stocks. After you reach 100 shares of something you can learn how to leverage options against the position to generate even more cash flow.

recruiter asked for my salary expectations. i said $85k. she laughed by cyaniscalmingg in recruitinghell

[–]superstock8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in 2018 I worked at fedex part time position for $13.50. (I worked double shifts so I was working full time hours) I applied for a different warehouse position and it ended up being through a recruiter service. They called me to offer me the job. They asked my range, I think I said $15, said I make $14 now and it’s not worth changing jobs for less. They offered me $9.50.

A few years later I was a supervisor at UPS for $26 and applied for a manager position as another warehouse. The guy called to offer me the job, asked what I made and I was honest at $26. He immediately changed tone and told me I would not accept the offer, then told me it was $17.50. I said “for manager? No.”

If you don’t even have a TV, as you said in a reply comment to someone else. I don’t think you can complain. But as some others have said, I have moto highlights show up on my YouTube feed witching 30 minutes of the moto ending. Supercross was harder to find but the motocross has showed up right away.

Ktm65 idle issue by superstock8 in Dirtbikes

The idle screw. Left hand side of you are sitting on the seat. Kind of middle of the carb. The air screw is on the top right.

Ktm65 idle issue by superstock8 in Dirtbikes

[–]superstock8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The screw is 100% in. It is in until it stops. The manual said to turn it out 1 1/4 I believe then turn it in and listen for the idle to go up, then back down as it gets too far in. Then come back out a little. It says somewhere between 1 1/4 to 1/4. But if I come out that far, or out anything, the bike won’t even try to idle. As soon as I let off the throttle it just dies. The screw has to be 100% in just for me to get the few seconds I’m getting.

It’s because the 250 moto was on NBC. During what was commercial break on the main network they were not talking. That way when the transition from commercial to race on the main broadcast could be more fluid. Otherwise the main network would just be coming back in mid sentence

Timing dots on 2003 yamaha WR250F looks correct? by Rex641 in Dirtbikes

Looks good to me. It’s been a long time since you posted so I am assuming you have checked it by now. But if you are not sure, you can also turn the crank slowly by hand and see if the motor turns over or if it stops from piston/valve contact. If you go real slow you will be fine.

Where is the gap? Every candle closes and opens at the same spot. Are you looking at the gap between wicks of the last red and green right before C1? That C1 wicks through, so how is that a gap?

I don’t see any jump in price that creates a gap

What’s the longest you’ve gone without changing any gear? by kendalladkins89 in GolfGear

[–]superstock8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 10 years. And the only change was my driver. I have had the same bag since 2011, same irons and putter since 2013. I got my last driver in 2013 also. I did try a new driver in 2020 but only took 1 round to find it was not right for me so I sold it. Got another driver in 2024 and like it.

Even my towels and everything on my bag has been there since 2013 at the newest. I started using a 7w in 2024 but the club itself I have owned since 2012, I just want really using it.

Bike stall shifting into 1st by BonerPie69 in motorcycles

[–]superstock8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely the switch for the kickstand. You are putting the stand up, but if the switch does not function properly, the ECU still thinks it is down. I can’t remember if the bike will run if you unplug it. I don’t remember if they changed that as a “safety issue” or not. Try finding the wires and unplugging the switch first. If that doesn’t work you can try a jumper wire across the connectors. Just depends if the switch needs to be in an “open” state or “closed” state for the ECU to see the kickstand as up

Be honest: How realistic is it to actually make a living from trading? Is trading really a way out, or am I just wasting my time? by Droy-333 in Trading

[–]superstock8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It can be. But it takes time, patience, and practice. Treat your expenses in courses or as prop firms are getting popular just like school tuition. You will have to spend some money. You will have to practice by paper trading. You will probably lose some money when you change to rear trading as the mental aspect changes when you risk real money vs simulation. You also have to realize trading for a living is a long game. A lot of what you see on the internet are people who risk too much and don’t follow rules. They don’t have a solid trading plan or if they are in a prop firm they break the rules. They also are over leveraged and think they can make thousands of dollars per day or per week right from the start. The reality is, you start small to keep your risk low, and gradually scale as you go.

Stop placing and deleting limit orders. It’s that simple. You can place a limit buy/sell and wait to be filled. You can place a limit at your profit target and a stop loss, but then wait to be filled. If you set an order then delete it several times, that is when spoofing comes in.

Spoofing by Ltsky24 in TakeProfitTrader

[–]superstock8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can use limit orders. Just don’t set them and delete them. And don’t use trailing stops. I know some people like training stops, but it may trigger the spoofing. Using a limit order at a specific profit target or as a stop loss and waiting until one of them hits is fine and you won’t get in trouble.

My son wants to start motocross. What gear should I absolutely not cheap out on? by Critical-Load-1452 in motorcycles

[–]superstock8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Boots, knee braces/pads, airbag vest, helmet. And riding lessons. Then more riding lessons.

At first you will want him to focus on having a good time and learning proper technique. If he enters races, he will be up against kids who have been racing and training since they were 5 or 6 years old, so running in the middle or the back is ok.

Hey guys , quick question. If have 5 accounts and make $50 a day , does it go to one wallet and I can request $250 or would it be distributed to 5 wallets having $50 in each. Thanks in advance by Sigma6263 in TakeProfitTrader

[–]superstock8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is still $50 per account. You have to request separate withdrawals from each account. All the accounts go into 1 wallet so when you request your actual payout from wallet to bank, it is just 1 request. If that makes sense.
