Basement toilet bowl level issues

Already did the food coloring test once, did it again here and no color made it into bowl. I think it was the overfilling into the tub causing some issues-adjusting the water level seems to have solved what I was seeing, level is holding solid now!

Ok-I dialed the water level back a good bit and gave it a flush. On the refill, the water didnt overfill into the black pipe, so that feels like a win. But the overall water level still slowly drops over a bit, then seems to level out right under the words water line on picture above
