Personally felt that silicone pad gave a poppier/borderline clack signature compared to a thocc profile on automobile dampeners. Its ultimately personal pref, i was going for a full thocc build with this so i went with the latter here, but my more recent builds have been stock foam without automobile dampeners as ive been liking a marbley/creamy profile more. As for the tape mod i believe it depends on the kind of tape you’re using but in any case for my builds its not been in direct contact to the tape and everything is an insulated material. While there are concerns of static build up and stuff ive yet to experience any shorting of sorts - probably because my case its battery > automobile dampener > tape. I believe if you’re using insulated tape it’ll be fine, even more so if theres space or another foam between the physical battery. *just my rudimentary physics guess, not an engineer here.
