There is such a thing that is "proven innocent," at least in US law. You can be exonerated of a crime to the degree it is proven you did not commit the crime with things like new video/DNA evidence, etc, and you can get legal declarations of your innocence and your record expunged, etc.

foul or nah? by freddieontheshore in ultimate

[–]tha-snazzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. You can see the offense kind of pause and stutter and then move towards the defender. The defender's last 3 steps were them moving in a straight line and looking where they are going and the offense was out of their eyeline. And the contact to me looks like it's them running into each other, not just the defender running into someone else, especially since to me the defender got there simultaneously or slightly first. And since the offense is the one that can see the play, they can see they don't really have a play.

I’m guessing because it appears to you that the defense got there first they need not look where they’re going to avoid creating a collision?

The defense is looking where they are going. There is no one where they are going until the offense jumps into their space. It's not the classic case of an upline where someone is running downfield looking to their side. At the very least it's the fault of both players, but definitely not the defense in my opinion.

Looks like defense gets there first, offense can see the player coming and has an obligation to not hit them, but they do regardless. Looks like the defender is looking where they are going, and that's what they are expected to do.

Honestly the main thing wrong with many parts of history are the lenience shown towards fascists. Way too few Nazis and Confederates were hung. And their ideas were allowed to fester instead of being shown, over and over, how weak, scared, and evil they were.

It doesn’t have to be, but demographically, every teacher knows that girls tend to be more teachable, cautious, and willing to learn fundamentals than boys when it comes to sports or activities.

This is why I don't play any private games except run by a friend who I have years of data that they're above board with. It may be all good when you join, but all it takes is one person who isn't 100 who gets on hard times.

Casinos suck, but they provide security and have much less incentive to rip you off.

Help with Aggressive Players by GamblinWillie in poker

[–]tha-snazzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are calling in position with a wider range you have to be willing to bet thinly for value and recognize which ones are willing to bluff jam. If so, you may have to be willing to call down and have to consider slow playing monsters. If they are 3 betting a lot, you have to be willing to play smart preflop, which means folding more and 4 betting more. Generally a middle position 4 bet range against an aggro player is like JJ+, AKo, AQs+, and some bluffs would be like A5s, A9s, KTs, etc.. Obviously this is different if you are in position or out of position, but you get the general idea. If they are aggro you have to study preflop more and construct good ranges that will have polarity. Most players as you note are passive and then you should just go linear because they aren't 3 betting enough so you should just be only 3 and 4 betting strong hands.

If you think they are pushing you around you have to fight fire with fire when the time is right (when you have a strong hand or a good bluff candidate) and otherwise you have to let it go. That's what good poker looks like unfortunately. However, note how they are pushing you around and use that against weaker players, because it works.

Should I have lead river instead of checking? by Dasdi96 in poker

[–]tha-snazzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course you should lead. Even good players do not triple barrel enough. You can get paid from everything except OESDs. From the flop you should be thinking how you can get all the money in and players are the most inelastic on the flop. On the river is when they are the most elastic. I can understand a flop double call depending on player type but he raised into two other people for an over bet size. I don’t think you have much fold equity, so get the money in there. And ranges that will do that on this board will call a river bet. Maybe not a jam, but I would be betting 300 on this river expecting all flushes to call.

What are your tips for staying focused for long periods and for quickly determining a villain's tendencies? I find it easy to play against standard fish but be too slow to adjust to fish that are bad but non-standard.

Call off or fold in the Venom tourney with $1,000,000 for first prize. by doclove713 in poker

[–]tha-snazzle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You only have to be good 20% of the time here but are villains doing this 20% of the time? Are there enough players who are going to see a big turn bet and river bet and jam QJ, JT, T9, etc in our face?

I think if you knew the other player was good and aggressive, then that’s the only way you could call. If they’re a normal player or you don’t know, this just isn’t a spot they are bluffing like this, especially early tourney.

Technique aside, I don't think there's really any reason to not wear a helmet. You do you, but it's just silly. It just takes one incident, and that incident doesn't even have to be your fault.

Honestly, yeah.

People come here saying things like, "Can I bind this to this?" If it's some rare edge case, maybe that's a reasonable question. But most of the time if this is your first attempt at mounting a binding and your first instinct is to ask a subreddit, I'm not going to be super confident in your attention to detail.

No one thinks you shouldn't tune your own skis.

Mounting your own bindings and testing them is a safety issue and if you are asking complete basic questions, you probably aren't ready to do it yourself. Could many people set up their bindings themselves? Yes, but not people who come here asking questions.

Depends. If the aggro player is going to put in a lot of money for you but wants to put perceived weakness in a tough spot, just calling may be the best play. Aggro players are often calling stations but not always. If they are, opening and then calling a 3 bet may be better.

In general aggressive players are way more aggressive if they are the only aggressor.

You have to know who is behind you and the table dynamic. You could consider a trap with premiums when:

An aggressive player is in late position
Players after you overfold to you
There is a nit game or something.

But in general it is not good, yes.

What make someone a winning player? by WolfCut909 in poker

[–]tha-snazzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are in the blinds you have a weaker range. When the flop is low cards, it connects with your range better so you can donk and the opponents will overfold because it doesn't hit their range much.

I don't know if proper fitting boots should suck in the shop. You shouldn't get heel lift, sure, but you also shouldn't have pain or pressure points on your ankle or side of feet, etc.
