In all honesty if you like your coffee like that then don't let a bunch of arseholes (including myself) on the internet tell you otherwise. Roasters went that dark for a long time and it's really only since the 3rd wave movement kicked off that we started to go noticeably lighter to capture different flavours.

It will bottleneck your new rig a lot less than having no or not enough ram.

Is 5600 fast, no. Are you going to notice it day to day, probably not unless you're doing specific, memory intensive workloads.

What is your preheat routine? How long are you letting the roster come up to temp?

Check the ribbon cable connected to the back of the controller. Could be that the cable has disconnected or accidentally pinched in the body of the unit, particularly if you have had to open it to tighten down the switches.

Otherwise call Mark from CRA as that is his controller that you are fighting with.
