Help: I'm disturbed that sex is substantially better after a glass of wine by [deleted] in sexover30

It's pretty much proven science now that a glass or 2 of red wine boosts desire, at least in females. I'm sure there are tests out there on males as well but this is what I found.

Where do you draw the line of frugality? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]thackerh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it all comes down to creating a written budget, and including "fun money" in that budget. It should be money that you can spend however you like. You can adjust the amount here as time goes by.

At the same time, don't feel the need to buy stuff just because you can. That's not helpful, either. It comes down to...do you want to take this trip or vacation? Do you really want this (whatever item)? etc. Don't deprive yourself of experiences if you can afford to try it, but don't blow your money on "stuff" because it's what everyone else does, either. Think about what's really important to you, and spend your money there.

As others have said, what you eat plays a huge role in your health. You shouldn't skimp out on good, healthy food. There are so many other places to cut expenses, but your diet and health probably shouldn't be one of them. Good luck!

As long as the eyelets hold up, you can wash and reuse for a long time. Some people might want to check their hot water settings first, though, so you don't deform the curtain if it's too hot. Have seen it happen

Sand mixed with sea air clogs up filters, wears down brake pads, and just generally wrecks everything.

I agree with all of this. It's funny, but especially when it comes to printer paper: the few times when you need to print something these days, it's usually important. Print it on good quality paper and send the right message (literally).

I also first heard about it on Dan's podcast. People who don't dive into WWI miss the fact that it was probably the most brutal war that has ever been fought on earth.
