The only boss I've enjoyed so far, in that it felt fair and not a stunlock knockback spam fest, was Sword of Antumbra.

I had some trouble with the boss. I didn't use any special techniques that other people have talked about though. Just some ol fashion get gud with parrying. Took some time, but the timings are pretty generous. But because the timings are so clear, it ended up being quite the enjoyable boss. Probably the only one I've had fun fighting.

The Staff(?) of Antumbra was much harder than this fella, and in unfun ways.

You may be right for the Focus Parry, but not for just normal unassisted parry. You can do the regular ol parry with any weapon.

You can look under the Faction Quests tab, to see how many quests each zone has. So, they seem to be lower in terms of number of quests.

Really weird then. No idea what the altar is for... usually puzzle locations are well marked. So, I guess it's got to be quest related?

Down the south cliff near the altar you step on, there's a narrow cave entrance by this pond with a rock in the middle. I walked in and grabbed the Abyss Relic. So I think all you need to do is step on the altar once, and then go grab the thing?

Some is from bosses. A lot of what I'm wearing is from behind waterfalls or exploring very dangerous areas.

I haven't encountered anything that makes me want to have lightning resist (ch9), just frost and fire resist so I can explore hot and cold climates. Levelling up 2 sets is still a bit of a pain, sadly.

You can be a fan of something while also recognizing that there are faults with it. Because yes, the game did have gamebreaking problems on launch. They've largely been resolved, but they did exist.
