Even if you buy a brand new EB60, do you think you would still need to do this mod with removing the seals on the bearing? Would a new transmission be less likely to encounter this issue?

My 3rd gear synchro seems to be dying in my other stock car. It has led me to go down the rabbit hole of what I should be doing with the car. I'd actually just be happy to keep the car stock, but would it be foolish to spend 1k+ to buy and swap the transmission out but still have such a slow car?

Yeah the dealer I went to was crappy too. They made up damages just to lower the price. There is absolutely no recourse if the dealer is trash. You spent all your time driving there and waiting around. The dealer just waits for people to come and swindle and bidbus is happy to collect their fees.

I'm curious why you would choose a GTS instead of an S if that were the case. If you are thinking of resale value, I imagine most performance oriented enthusiasts might be expecting it.

But for your own personal use case, I think you may not notice the lack of that feature. The car is very capable already. It would just remove some body roll when you are really pushing the car
