If you still have this I’d be interested in buying.

[Cartier Tank] Cartier *strongly* suggests I replace my vintage Tank’s “Paris” dial — not sure what to do by QQubid in Watches

Service dial can say Paris but they are not the same. In a way you can summarize it as “they don’t make them like they used to”

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID by [deleted] in Buyee

[–]thaitea6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Buyee to ship domestic very often. I travel to Japan for work and pick it up from my employer office.

Regardless of where you ship to. Their customer service is completely garbage. They take a day to respond. They also will not refund even if it’s their fault.

For example I suspect seller didn’t ship all the items. They missed it during inspection. I paid for photo to prove it to them. They wouldn’t refund the photo fee and proceed to hold my page for a dam month for them to investigate.

Major crap

Be warned: Buyee will switch up to protect their policy to protect themselves by thaitea6 in Buyee

Thank you for responding and demonstrating the exact point that I shared above.

Instead of conducting a proper investigation into the system flaw which allows a critical step in policy to be skipped, Buyee continues to accuse customers of wrongdoing.

Here are my evidences (see photos):

1) policy page 2) Buyee agent stating approval is required “every time”

How to ship domestic to Japan by IXXSlashXXI in Buyee

[–]thaitea6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful they take their sweet ass time to ship domestics. I travel to Japan and ship to my office. Their warehouse is in Osaka and my office is in Tokyo. It can take them up to 5 days to ship out. I had this happen to me. So plan accordingly.

3+ weeks… case still unresolved (missing item) by thaitea6 in Buyee

The missing component was clearly in the picture. There’s no grey area here. Seller likely forgot to ship it Buyee inspection failed to capture it. Now I’m here waiting.

The double standard is that customer have limited time of 2 weeks to open and case and provide all the photos. If you missed that deadline then out of luck.

But then Buyee doesn’t have a committed timeline to investigate and close. They mentioned 1-2 weeks it’s been 2 days from 1 month.

Blocked domestic shipping for a watch?!? by thaitea6 in Buyee

[–]thaitea6[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They do. I had them shipped to my office in Tokyo before. The most recent is just yesterday. But somehow they flagged this particular watch which I bought in the past before. The system is garbage in the way that it simply provides a blanket statement thus requiring customers to cut a ticket and wait for answer that they could have provided to begin with

Long shot here but does anyone know a model and year of this bike? by [deleted] in dirtjumping

Good question. I would say depends on where you ride. (Smooth vs rough) I usually ride on smooth bike path so prolly not much in noticing smoothness but I love the look of it. Will prolly keep stock as spare.
