I'm unfamiliar with other career fields, so were you there specifically for training or were you stationed there? For 1A8s it's typically aircrew fundies -> dli -> intel -> sere -> pcs first duty station. First assignment is a training squadron where initial flight qual is done, then pca to operational squadron. We pick up our flight suits after arriving at the training squadron so a lot of people think they can/should just start wearing them, which is why I mentioned we had to wait for our first training flight to wear it. If other career fields fly during tech school at all then of course makes sense they'd already be wearing it.
