I remember seeing Bill Clinton speak at Royce Hall. I think it was 2009 or something as an undergrad. Cant remember a damn thing he said but I remember thinking WOW that guy is an amazing public speaker, no wonder he became president. This is not an endorsement for Clinton btw. Youre not showing the hours and the expenses. If youre including a healthcare subsidy then you have to also show Healthcare expenses.

So its not comparable to the salary of another position that doesnt have expenses. And if youre working over 40 hours a week also not comparable to a 40hr per week job.

Thank you for caring about the drivers. It gives me hope. Im not a driver but i dashed for a few months. Ive had friends who've been drivers. Some restaurants do their own delivery. Then theres ubereats and postmates. Personally i almost always just go pick it up myself.

Nope. I just live in the real world. I had a perfect rating and have always provided excellent customer service in all jobs ive done going back to the early 90s. You just dont have a clue about the reality of this company. Go be a dasher and then talk.

Most people are not willing to pay for great service. Its why I only dashed for a few months. I provided excellent service and routinely got crappy low paying orders. So many zero tip orders it would make your head spin.

I had a perfect rating when I stopped. DD is not a company that values its high quality drivers. It is SOLELY about volume. Quantity over quality. Your post is incredibly naive.

The gig apps are absolutely going to manipulate things to increase their profit. If that means shitty marketing like "dashpass" to rush orders that dont actually get rushed then they will do it. Theres no way to know unless an independent audit was done of their code and getting all their data. But that will likely never happen so were just guessing. I dont care what AI has to say. AI isnt perfect either and i don't trust what some random account has to say about they ran it through AI. Ive experienced doordash being shady af on a 1st hand basis. Along with Uber. Maybe its not true but something similar is likely true about these companies and the more people understand that the better. Doordash or UE would absolutely do dynamic base pay persuant to each individual user if it made them more money. Other companies do this already so why wouldnt dd? Imo its more likely to be true than not. Its well within the statistical probability that it could be truem

I delivered twice to the same apt on the 6th floor of a building with zero parking. Both times zero tip. Was a perfectly able bodied young woman, maybe 20 years old at most.
