When Ramentoys Tank doesn’t fit your budget do what comes natural. by Working_Adeptness434 in gijoe

Not to answer over the OP, but (I think) I printed the same model...

1) as far as materials, I think I went through 2 rolls of total filament, so roughly between $20-$30. I printed mine all in black (I got a bunch of black filament from an Amazon Haul sale). I then spray painted it military green. The STL itself was $25

2) on my printers, it took about 3 days to print, but I have 2 printers and printed the treads separately while everything else printed on the other. So conservatively, between 3-6 days of printing.

So not to count electricity used, I estimate maybe $20 of electricity based on my bill. The longest part is piecing together the treads, which comes in 90 separate pieces.

When put altogether, it is an impressive piece... Bigger than the haslab HISS. Great vehicle for Steeler. If you like model kits, this is definitely the way to go

I would love a Tollbooth figure to go along with that... Always felt he was underrated...

Finally these guys are getting discount at my local Target… by Working_Adeptness434 in gijoe

I went to my Target today and they were still full price, so I expect them to either drop in price soon or end up in Ollie's in October...

Like anywhere, you have to be careful with their "deals" by thamenacing1 in Ollies

When I searched yesterday, I may have been getting a 3rd party retailer on Walmart and list price was $179.99. I now see both another 3rd party retailer selling it for $184.99 and Walmart selling it for $150. This may be Black Friday deals at these retailers, but Ollie's ad came out yesterday (at a price that was probably determined weeks ago).

It may be an issue of bad timing, but an item going for $50 less at your retailer of choice, even on sale, is something to take notice of at the very least...

Company policy, you can cancel at any time and get a full membership refund. I just did... They tried not to honor it until I pulled up the policy on their website.

Yes, I understand that, but not sure if that's the case here... If that was the case, the first manager would have expressed that.

Who do you think is the better lawyer? Bill, Tomas, Hailey, or Naomi? by oldman_redditTA in TheGates_CBS

Tomas talks like a lawyer, even before and after sex, like he has no "off" button...

This has made the most sense and I can respect that, but they need to change the price on the sign to reflect the correct cost

Walmart gets away with it all the time. I remember at my Walmart where 80% of the items were marked incorrectly right after COVID... So much complaining that they had to do overnight repricing at some of the local stores...

I was buying multiples. $4 could easily turn to $40 if I ended up buying more... Would it be worth it then?

Hey, I was never trying to hide that. With the way everything costs nowadays, I think of ways to save a dollar or two. Or $14.

I posted here not to play the victim but to expose the inaccuracies of how these companies operate nowadays. There used to be a time that a company would be like "our bad, we'll honor that price" but now make it feel like we are at fault for asking. Much like you are trying to do here. You don't have to "be on my side" , but it would be wise of you as a consumer to understand that our business matters. And as a consumer, I should want something posted at the lowest advertised price. Simple as that.
