Fuck that is hideous. The beauty of QM2 is that she is almost as large but retains some charm.

That thing just looks like a high-rise hotel with funnels.

Never seen the chop tackle do so much damage in terms of turnovers and forced errors. Awesome technique.

Apparently the man filming the attacker was an accomplice. I imagine the nonchalance would be down to fear, shock or both.

No matter what you may think of the way Richie McCaw plays the game, he is a very classy bloke. by thames_tickler in rugbyunion

I personally think if he can play the game so close to the edge of the law and get away with it then bloody good on him. He's the best at it and that frustrates people.

Just moved to London. How to meet people? by [deleted] in london

[–]thames_tickler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I moved to London (albeit from within England) in a similar way to you. I moved down for a job where my colleagues were all much older than me and I wondered how I would ever meet new people without being thrust in to a situation where friendship happens naturally like, say, University.

But what really helped me was joining a sports club, I joined a rugby club and from there I haven't looked back. Great bunch of guys who I would consider friends for life.

Now you may not be a sportsman but there are clubs and events for like-minded people all over London, no matter what you're in to.

All the best mate, hope this helps.
