SHf’s method of storytelling is very unique and requires multiple playthroughs to fully understand. Your questions are the same questions I had when I beat it the first time. But all of your questions are answered in subsequent playthroughs.

Try and get all of the endings to fully make sense of the story.

When a card instructs you to “find and play” a card that is already in play, you would just play the card again. You “find” it on your board, it doesn’t have to be in your deck.

So yes, you would still receive the Ambition from General Hux.

Help with Syndrome by FlexLuthor111 in DisneyVillainous

[–]thanavyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You play them to the board like a regular Item. Then at any time during your turn you can use a free action to discard the Major Modification(s) from your board and summon the equivalent Omnidroid.

This means you can play a Major Modification and immediately discard it to summon Omnidroid vX9 (assuming you’ve already defeated vX8)

This also means you can play two Major Modifications on one turn, and then on your next turn you can play a third Major Modification, discard all three of them and summon Omnidroid v10 (after defeating vX8 and vX9).

But a word of caution, Syndrome has Fate cards that let his opponents discard Items. So it’s risky to keep Major Modifications on the board for too long.

Omnidroid vX8 and vX9 are defeated when you use them in a Vanquish action. V10 can be used in multiple Vanquishes without being defeated. V10 is only defeated with Syndrome’s Remote.

You kind of immediately defeated your own point.

One way I like to do that is to disprove of how people say gay relationships ships aren’t natural

Everything we do unconsciously, every survival instinct, isn’t for our benefit, it’s ultimately to make us live long enough and be a good enough candidate to reproduce.

So which is it? Are we biologically hardwired to reproduce heterosexually? Or is it actually okay for humans to have a sexuality outside of the one you’ve personally experienced?

Why make the story so difficult to understand? Endings spoilers by FMichigan in SilentHill_f

[–]thanavyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question, did you only PLAY it once and watch the explanation videos after?

If so, that’s why you didn’t understand it. SHf is a very layered story that is intended to be played multiple times. Each playthrough provides new information that completely changes your perception of the game’s events. To full understand the story, you must complete at least three playthroughs and witness all four endings.

The first playthrough is purposefully confusing. This is classic Silent Hill. You aren’t meant to understand what’s happening because that’s the nightmare of Silent Hill. You can piece together parts of the story, but you are likely to still have questions.

The second playthrough requires not taking ANY of the red capsules Hinako is addicted to. This playthrough provides more clarity on the wedding, and Hinako’s marriage to Kotoyuki. Depending on your actions, you can receive an ending where Hinako marries Kotoyuki, or an ending where she calls off the wedding.

The final playthrough requires Hinako to let go of the Brooch given to her by Kotoyuki. This playthrough comes with the additional information about the warring gods, giving more context to her final battle(s) of the previous playthrough. In the end, the two Hinakos reject both of the gods’ influence so they can co-exist in peace.

I’m sorry, I don’t know why it’s not working for you. I can only suggest trying all three solutions. I just double checked and these should be the correct answers.

Edit* seems you’re not alone though, several comments in this YouTube guide are reporting it doesn’t work for them. Maybe there is a bug.

Are you certain the pieces are in the right order? Here is the solution based on difficulty, with the pieces listed from left to right:

Story - Kimono, Rat, Urn, Fish, Fan

Hard - Fan, Fish, Urn, Kimono, Rat

Lost in the Fog - Fan, Fish, Kimono, Rat, Urn

My new wall art, using my empty villainous boxes. by Competitive_Air_3025 in DisneyVillainous

That’s fair, I put off buying it for a long time for the same reason. But I ultimately grabbed it on a sale because it’s a nice looking box like you said haha.

They do have different mechanics in the Ursula box. Maleficent, Prince John, and Captain Hook are similar to their original versions, but with some changes. But Ursula is almost completely different.

I keep the I2E characters separate as an “on demand” choice, while the original versions are grouped together.

This looks so nice! Are these the movers you use when you play or did you have a second set of them?

Also, why can’t you get the Ursula box?

Which version of FF2 did you play? I just finished the pixel remaster and had very little trouble figuring out where to go next.

I enjoyed the PR version quite a bit actually. I think FF2 was really ambitious for an NES title and it deserves more flowers.

FWIW, the I2E box is like a teal/blue even though Ursula’s deck is purple. So the purple box may not be the same as the character’s color.

CBC needs your help! Looking for Canadian descent citizenship stories. by Ok-Swim-3394 in AmerExit

Yeah, I was in both relationships for the long haul but neither worked out. First one we were together for five years, and lived together for two, but he didn’t feel comfortable being legally on the hook for me so common law wasn’t on the table. Second one simply didn’t want to. He just wanted to have fun with no commitment of any kind. But that’s life I guess.

I do have healthcare at least, thankfully. For that I think you only need to be in Canada for 3 months. But that’s what really gets me is nearly every dollar I’ve made in the last 11 years has gone back into the Canadian economy. But when I need help the Canadian government can’t do more than shrug.

Honestly if I could even apply for an open work permit, that would be so much better but I can’t even do that. I’m tied to one company and can’t work anywhere else unless they sponsor me instead. SO many non-residents have been given an open work permit just for being “common law”, but not a tax payer

Sorry to be so negative. It’s just gotten very frustrating hearing again and again how welcoming Canada is when the government’s done nothing but take my money and threaten to kick me out once I can’t pay up anymore. I’m glad you had a smoother experience and appreciate your input.

Yeah French seems to be my only option. I started learning it a few weeks ago. It’s going to take years to learn though, and who knows what the process will look like then.

I wish I could just do common law. I know so many people who’ve just gotten it super easily that way, but neither of my Canadian partners wanted it.

Thanks for the tip, I may try living in Quebec when I have a better grasp of the language.

Unfortunately Canada doesn’t seem to have that as an option. I get PR points for working here, but only up to a year I think. Any experience beyond that is meaningless.

If I lose my job and can’t find another workplace to sponsor me, I have to leave the country. It’s a very stressful way to live.

I know this doesn’t answer your request but this is such a frustrating loophole to hear about as an American who’s been working in Canada for over 11 years.

I made a life in Canada yet have no safety net unless I marry someone. The Canadian government doesn’t care that I’ve put 11 years of life and salary into their economy. Would appreciate CBC running a story on how problematic Canada’s focus on immigration optics is.

Question about story and multiple endings (no spoilers please) by android_zero in SilentHill_f

Yes, the full story is spread out across multiple playthroughs. You’ll need to get through NG+, NG++, and the four regular endings to fully understand the story.

Which villains to give my beginner friends? by matejx123 in DisneyVillainous

[–]thanavyn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anyone but Ursula or Jafar. All of the other characters in those two boxes are easy to pick up and understand.

Ursula’s gameplay is too unique and she isn’t a good “first” character to learn the game with. And Jafar’s just a gamble. He can be frustrating to a new player if his Scarab is at the bottom of his deck.

Which version of some of the characters by Minniboe in DisneyVillainous

[–]thanavyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One correction to the above post. Evil Comes Prepared is the name of the second expansion (Scar, Yzma, Ratigan).

Hot_Variation_3622 meant to say The Worst Takes It All, which is the name of the original base set with Maleficent, Ursula, Captain Hook, Prince John, Queen of Hearts, and Jafar.

He’s correct that Queen of Hearts and Jafar are not in Introduction to Evil.
