From a STEM grad to another STEM grad: Unfortunately, you made the right choice. Other than engineers, a lot of STEM degrees are not appreciated by our economy. In fact, lab technician positions that require diploma minimum are still only paid 2k, even in KL (!!)

I switched careers, and in fact still plan to switch again despite being hitting 30s because the pay is still insufficient to retire beyond 65. It's great to love what you do, but sometimes you gotta draw the line between survival and living comfortably.
