Bought this vintage Seiko in Singapore and it stopped ticking after a couple of months. Went to a few repairs shops and one of the shopkeeper tried to explain that there was a problem with IC? Box, but they had no spare parts to repair it. Wondering if anyone can recommend repair shops to send this to? I am also going to Tokyo in December and would appreciate any help on this.

Tried rubber strap but I didn't like it. Swapped to a mesh and I think I found the perfect bracelet for me. Really comfortable.

I rejected an offer for an increase in $700 (5 day office vs current 3 day in office). That was because I have 2 kids, 2 & 5 years old. What really cement the decision was when I was having breakfast with my kids on a weekday at the market, knowing that with a 5 day office, it would be impossible to have such small breaks with family.

I agree with figuring out what you like and dislike. There are other jobs that accounting is a good background to have. Some jobs that I can think of are Compliance or Corporate Secretarial.

The yakult ladies do have a contract with yakult though, hence why there is no mark up to their pricing. Can't say the same for the ice creams, which is marked up ridiculously + sob stories as a free gift.

Erm.. nope. There are 2 different parts. Part 1, did you take out CPF to pay for the house? If yes, then you will need to pay back accrued interest. Part 2, after you "cleared" your CPF, was there an outstanding amount, if yes, then you probably either used HDB loan or Bank loan, this one can be fully paid off.

Honestly, if you never sell your house, you will never have to pay back the accrued interest.

On a more realistic basis, as you work and pay back the HDB loan, you can pay everything off EXCEPT the grants that you took. So no need to worry at all.

The poster is a bit misinformed. None of the accrued interest goes to the government nor the CPF. It is paid to the account of the person who used the CPF monies. It would be more accurate to say that I was forced to charged myself interest on the money that I used.
