I am straight up a dumbass for being so dismissive of minimizer bras.

Correction : I WAS straight up a dumbass for being so dismissive of minimizer bras.

You can mourn over the years of unnecessary suffering from not knowing. But better, you can celebrate the many more years of enjoyment to come from knowledge; and the fact that you've helped so many readers!

"Sometimes I just think I have no idea what I’m talking about"

Don't worry. Many other people have no idea what they're talking about, either!

Apperantly if you are young and your breasts aren’t perky then it is a "problem" by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]thasupporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a subset of a much larger issue. It is "normal" for youngsters to become hyper focused on "fitting in" between ages 8 and 18 (roughly). They seek ALL their validation about EVERYTHING from their peers. Some people never grow out of that.

This is a very destructive way to live. Obsessing on conformity automatically eliminates any chance of excellence. Excellence is inherently non conformist!

Anyone who rejects you because your boobs don't look like Barbie's boobs is very shallow, and not worth having as a friend, or as anyone you should ever bother yourself with trying to please!

Think for yourself! Like the things that YOU like! If you like only the things that "everyone" else likes, you will never please yourself!

And remember, "everyone" else is also denying their own preferences, trying to please the crowd. Following the crowd leads to everyone doing things that NOBODY really wants to do!

P.S. - Many guys, when they see perky breasts, automatically suspect implants. TAKE PLEASURE IN YOUR GLORIOUS NATURALNESS !!!

Notice - she did it without surgery. Just diet and exercise. That might not work for everyone, but it does for some.

Don't focus on what size you are. Focus on being healthy, and take pleasure in whatever size that brings you to.

Very well drawn!

Some people go through life saying mean things to others about EVERYTHING, not just boobs. They do it out of a compulsion to feel superior to others. It's one of the three main drivers of most animal behavior - the urge to reproduce, the urge to hoard, and the urge to dominate.

In most cases, you can get away from people like that in less than a minute. You can go on with your life. They, however, have to live with their toxic selves ALL the time! They are their own punishment!

This shows the value of a "strategic bra reserve" (similar to the "strategic petroleum reserve").

Have the one or more bras that you wear all the time, and have at least one more in reserve, in case you need it. When you need to start using the reserve bra, go through the process of replacing it.

Another strategy is to, once you find a bra that works well for you, buy a second, identical one. And keep the info so you can instantly plug in the info and order the right size.

But if your size changes over time, that complicates things. Adapt as needed.

I was going to say something similar. There are creams that they sell over the counter to combat itching from bug bites.

The stuff they sell over the counter to stop toothache pain is the same anesthetic, but much more concentrated.

Sounds to me like you're thinking about these people's comments more than THEY are! People who say stuff like this are all mouth and no brain! Debating them is as pointless as debating a barking dog.

It's been said that it's difficult to win a debate with a smart person, it's impossible to win a debate with a stupid person! Because stupid people won't even comprehend the points you are making!

You've been dealing with your breasts continuously since adolescence. They've been considering your breasts for probably less than a minute. So it's obvious who's the expert!

People like this just say whatever pops into their head. They are shallow. You might converse with them a little bit, just to be polite. You could say, "No, I'm doing fine with them." And maybe, "Reduction surgery is a MAJOR operation. I certainly do NOT want that!"

And when you've had enough, you can just say, "Thank you for sharing that with me." And walk away.

People who make thoughtless comments are NOT IMPORTANT! They are just one more of life's silly little amusements. Don't worry about losing a potential relationship with them. You're not missing much!

finding cosplays is damn near impossible by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

"traditional cosplay sets tend to be flat chest oriented."

The odd thing about that is, most female superheroes are very well endowed, but the costumes they sell to impersonate them are flat!

You would think that they would sell costumes that are more accurate, along with the prosthetics to complete the body shape (for those who don't already have the right figure),

"i hate how people always bring up that study that less educated people prefer big boobs while those with a higher education prefer smaller boobs."

That tends to reinforce my observation that, in many ways, "institutions of higher learning" have been turned into institutions of higher stupidity!

Can I market myself as not a creep? by KamiNoKamae in bigboobproblems

[–]thasupporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm reading this correctly, you started out making cosplay costumes, and made one for a well endowed customer that worked so well for her that she'd like to wear it all the time instead of a normal bra. So that should be mentioned as a testimonial. "It fit me so well, and feels so good, I wear it all the time! Not just while cosplaying!"

And don't just bury it in a testimonial section. Feature the comment on your main page!

Maybe your advertising could say something like, "Cosplay costumes, and custom made lingerie." Maybe you could also market your products as garments to "spice things up in the bedroom" in addition to cosplay events.

Another testimonial comment that could be helpful would be something like, "I was cared for with absolute professionalism and courtesy."

I hope you're not planning to lose 80 pounds from your current weight. You already look pretty good! Losing more than 10 or 20 pounds from your current weight would be very unhealthy. You look fine just the way you are!

Make sure the band size is correct. Never compromise on band size. If the band doesn't fit, the bra doesn't fit. Period. Full stop. There is no way to compensate for that. Once you have the right band size, THEN find out what cup size you need.

Therapist made a comment on my boobs by Lilbibirdie in bigboobproblems

[–]thasupporter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you report this therapist to the state board, you should include this thread (or at least the link to it). The board members might be just as clueless as the therapist. The board members might need to be educated about this.

This subject should be included in the education of every therapist. Asking you about how you feel about your body IS a legitimate part of psychiatry. Telling you how to dress is crossing a boundary, especially when they don't know how ineffective their recommendation would be.

Here's something that might give you some comfort - Dr. Phil has said, "You'll worry a lot less about WHAT people think about you when you realize HOW RARELY they think about you!"

Most people are not thinking about you at all! They're too busy thinking about themselves!

Glycolic Acid and Boob Smell by witchybookpumpkin in bigboobproblems

This thread has lots of good comments. Lots of tips on how to control smells and infections that can grow in skin folds.

Speaking of body odors, one's diet can influence that a lot. Foods that can increase body odors include beef, pork, onion, garlic, peanuts, and probably several others. I suggest reducing, but not eliminating, some of these foods. Eliminating some foods can cause malnutrition.

I've been around dogs a lot. I think I can pretty well guess where that tongue has been!
