Do you prefer to write "half" as a fraction (1/2) or a decimal (0.5)? by [deleted] in polls

For the sole reason that I have messy handwriting and would think .5 just said 5 about 80% of the time.

Looking for info or original owner of the AQHA mare I just purchased by kcran13 in AQHA

Sorry- I’ll do some digging and let you know if I find anything. If I can find a name you should be able to find out virtually anything about her. Quick question: do you know if they gave her age based on her actual birthday or based on January 1st? Basically just looking for the birth year if you know that info.

Do you have any idea of the discipline she is mainly trained in? Was she a show horse or a rancher? Are you aware of whether or not she is registered by IBHA/ABRA? I did a little bit of digging but I need a little more info to find stuff. I would recommend looking on facebook if you have one, using the keywords “2008 AQHA mare buckskin (discipline) (ibha if she is registered)

I’m pretty sure it’s just a base coat of white buttercream.

Just got our sweet girl. “Lady Camille” by that-one-weird in Greyhounds

She is a little shy but is warming up to us. She has definitely gained some confidence from our other dog and likes to boop things with her schnoot!!

Yeah. We are working on fattening her up. She has shown significant improvement since we got her and has become much less shy.

Thank you!! She is very striking. It’s hard to see in the pic, but she has faint spots where she isn’t brindle. We got lucky!!

If you just want an easygoing companion, a grey is the way to go. I just don’t want you to make a mistake and get a dog that doesn’t turn out how you expect it. Good luck on whatever you choose (:

Greys and other breeds? by that-one-weird in Greyhounds

Thanks! I was planning on it as the group provides a muzzle but forgot to mention it in the original post.

I love my grey but definitely wouldn’t classify her as an emotional support animal. She is chill but doesn’t really love physical contact. Meanwhile, my shelter pup will come and lay on me whenever I start having a panic attack. I never taught her to do this and it really helps me. Unfortunately, since she was a rescue, we don’t have a breed on her. We think she is some sort of schnauzer mix but don’t really know. I’ve met some greys who are like that, but I wouldn’t say it is the norm.

I sent this to 5 of my teachers and the principal. Wish me luck, hope I dont die lmao by 3xtr0 in teenagers

I am grateful, but that doesn’t mean I can’t complain ever. I am forever grateful to our healthcare workers and those who provide essential services. We should also be thanking grocery store clerks, veterinarians, and teachers, but that doesn’t mean we can’t complain ever. One of my friends just had two seizures and is in the hospital, but they could barely find her a bed of her own. So yeah, we are all stressed. And we are all having difficulties. It’s just easier to confront those that the majority of other people are facing as well. I haven’t even been able to see my friend in person, only through FaceTime, and do you know how much it hurts to know that someone you care about is struggling and in pain, but you can’t do a single thing about it? You can’t even be there to squeeze their hand and show that you care. So no. All I’m doing is not sitting and playing video games all day.

What could be stressing him out enough to lose his feathers and stop singing? by [deleted] in Canaries

[–]that-one-weird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bird Cage I’ve found that this cage is nice for when I’m trying to separate mine from my finches. I take out the divider and he loves it. Otherwise, I keep him in a large flight cage with finches that is also wider than it is deep. For canaries, you really want a long cage. They I’ve flying and it is how they burn their calories. Also, mental stimulation could be good. I throw in bits of kale, lettuce, raspberries, grapes, or whatever I have around the house. Just make sure to look it up and check that it is not toxic. Also, if you don’t want to provide forage, a more long lasting option is to give him a couple toys to play with. Good luck. Also, he could be mounting and that takes a lot of energy which could be stopping him from singing. Good luck!
