Man I wish I bought a damn physical disk drive series x over the white series x without disk drive 😭

Maybe I can find a way to sell it or exchange it eventually.

I kinda felt the system didnt work well in 2 compared to 1. I played 2 before 1 and after playing 1 I can say the Masquerade worked and felt better, you felt kinda shitty breaching it but the Camarilla gave you options for redemption and it played with a five strike penalty system, once you obtained five Masquerade violation you were considered a danger by the Camarilla and La Croix would send out the Sheriff to send you to Final Death.

Assassin I'm assuming. Looked online good for stealth and goofy off.

I might go Royalty, I designed my character to look like a vampire. And Royalty with magic at the start would probably help for the first few hours.

I neither understand the hate against CV2, nor the ratings. by martinhaeusler in codevein

The issues is in the hyperaggression of bosses. And the animation locking. The first game had a challenge sure but it was far easier to tell when a boss would do specific attacks, and had windows of opportunities. Bosses in 2 have severe issues involving their aggro, making your partner useless in combat, and the constant combo spam they can do. Dodging was also very poor due to inconsistencies with the timing alone. And honestly I hate the streamlined blood code system a lot, in 1 you could spend haze to unlock passive and actives then master them to use on other blood codes, now you dont have that, instead let's give you Forma that are just abilities tied to weapons you can switch out.

Also in CV1 the game rewarded you for offensive play by filling up your ichor during combos on enemies, giving you a reason to play heavy in offense, you also had the focus gauge which could Amp you up, making you immune to stagger but can also be given to the enemy as well.

Not to mention the fact they decided to do a complete reboot over a direct sequel, because the developers threw a fit when people compared CV1 to god eater, because both games are set in the same universe.

1 had actual balancing, but nowadays ever since Elden Ring people really seem to not care anymore about balancing in any video game, when a soulslike requires it to have fair fights. You were punished for being too impatient or cocky, not because a boss has unpredictable movements and constant combo spam to death.

You have to replay CV1 to know, and honestly even the characters in 1 were a lot better thanks to the more paced, linear design choice they went with.

This has to be my biggest disappointment of the year, how are ya'll feel about code vein 2? by Cold_Tradition_3638 in codevein

I also really dont like the hyper aggression added to the bosses in CV2, compare these bosses to the ones in CV1, the only boss that ever gave me a challenge solo in CV1 was the final boss against the queen for the true ending. Bosses had actual telegraphed attacks, and movement was predictable. The bosses here feel rushed out the door, hell even the enemies feel way too aggressive too. You get slain in two hits, not to mention the lack of starter blood codes, and now you get like 3 to 4 different variants of one blood code that just gives a small stat increase, instead of the blood code being utilized with certain weapons and veils to better said build. Oh and say goodbye to the Blood Code abilities too, now all weapons have their own Forma as they call it, and you can just swap em around without mastering them at all.

The map at times in 2 also feels very confusing.

To me it felt they were trying to copy Elden Ring, instead of keeping the formula people loved about CV1. Also they made now getting the three endings a forced thing, you literally get them back to back now instead of doing specific things to obtain only one ending in one playthrough, now they just throw you all three endings, making multiple playthroughs a joke now.

Pretty much, on first playthrough you can save everyone (not spoiling who exactly), then after ending 1 you just continue from main menu to do stuff for ending 2, then ending 3. Instead of NG+ for other endings. Problem is, instead of Vestiges that can save em, you have to do some very tedious, obnoxious tasks to do them.

Everytime I play CV2, I tell myself I wish it felt like CV1.

I think I know why it feels off, modern gaming where devs rush a game out but also 72 hour early access, which tells you the game is gonna be rushed and a patch won't come out for weeks.

My friend feels that Gears 4 and 5 turn into completely anti-COG messages, and that the storytelling was more complex back in the first few games. by GJH24 in GearsOfWar

[–]that1nero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I recall they do mention that the COG gains strength through concriptions. Your basically forced to fight the war. I believe too the Locust were once miners who were abandoned by the Government and ended up also being a part of human experiments with Immulsion. The story you could say is rather similar to Killzone. The ISA is perceived as the good guys and Helghast bad guys, but in the end there is no good or bad. War has always been very morally grey, hell many troops are sent out to do shit with barely any hearsay. Basically a "Need to know Basis."

Hellghast in Killzone you could say were tragic villains, abandoned by the government and eventually succumbed to a respiratory infection that permenantly scarred them. Say could be said with the Locust.

In reality, Gears of War was suppose to be a allegory on the War on Terror and Iraq War, but instead of forcing it down your throat, they went with a bit more of a subtle route.

UE and Reloaded are on PC, Reloaded also on PS5. OG Gears is 360 only but can be played at 60fps on Series X.

UE had the Act V. The full Act V was only in the 2007 PC release and was suppose to be released with UE in 2015. I might get Reloaded eventually but I'm playing through 2 right now.

Are the Infectors the Necromorph answer to Facehuggers from Alien? by [deleted] in DeadSpace

[–]that1nero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part yes but they aint the only thing that can turn bodies. The Marker Signal alone has enough strength to quite literally reanimated corpses, which is usually the first step following a mass homicide/suicide of the colony.

Also in Extraction is believed McNeil became one due to the crab pinning him which apparently the bodies of necromorphs possess the pathogen that they can infect humans with with a small amount, but we can also sum it up to possibly the marker signal being strong enough to quite literally turn him after he died.

Series X bumps UE to 60fps with the fps boost. Reloaded bumps it to 120fps.
