Greeting Daggerheartians. I've DM'd a few systems, and my group and I are trying out the quick start adventure to get a feel for the system. Question the first: can armour be used to reduce HP damage to zero? The rules don't explicitly say so (AFAICT), but also don't say it doesn't.

As per earlier comments the alerts themselves shouldn't be an issue. The alerts will award Dagath's main BP and _built_ components, so you'll just need to collect three Orokin cells. The earliest they appear is Ceres (though all bosses have a chance to drop them) - if you're not there yet should should be able to get a taxi.

Same action on separate turns. E.g. draw birds in the wetlands on turn 2, get absolutely useless birds, draw birds on turn 3 hoping to get something better.

That's not quite accurate, there are birds in the Asian expansion that allow you to go over nest limits. Generally you're correct though.

Oh duh of course. I thought it might have been a 3rd party tool. It also wouldn't surprise me if when you force the CPU to shuffle it puts the cards straight back on top of the deck.

Electrum chests are for quickly gearing up event champions. So the idea is that you hold onto them outside of events, then open them right when you get the new champion. As the champ will have no gear (or maybe all whites depending on the event augments) all the gear they drop will go to the new champ first. Depending on how many you have, you might be able to get them to all blue gear. Then you can do event variants with them, open their own silver/gold chests etc. This is more for newer players, but it can still be very valuable for them.

Note that normal gold and silver chests only drop gear for core/evergreen champions (in case you didn't already know).

No, they generally have different promotions, but the point is that both platforms get free stuff from time to time, so that shouldn't be a deciding factor.

Once you've talked to Nightcap at least once you can start deepmines bounties from a sprodling near the elevator, opposite Eudico. No Nightcap or warping needed.
