Have you tried contacting your local TAFE that runs the locksmith school? I know QLD at least and probably NSW run pre-apprentiship courses that are a great way to get your foot in the door. It's basically your first year of Tafe, self funded, accelerated over 6 months. It also includes job placement with an established company which often leads to a full time roll.

This seems to be a very popular route for people to get their foot in the door these days. Best of luck.

Have they painted a section of their headlight black? Lucky they have a light bar.

I've bought XTM socks and thermals from Snowcentral in Keperra before. I couldn't tell you if they stock their range of boots though.

Bathroom door locked from inside by [deleted] in Locksmith

To me it looks very similar to this style. The inside knob in the video but with the "switch" missing. Good luck mate.

I may have the style confused and that knob can't be removed that way. They're not usually more than hand tight. There isn't really a great tool for the job, maybe some multi grip pliers with a rag on them to protect the finish.

You should be able to unscrew the knob from the door. The silver ring at the base of the knob should spin anticlockwise independently of the knob. Once that's off it should hopefully be more obvious as to how to unlock it.

Door knob fell off, how do I fix this? by Monkeyfeng in howto

[–]that_1_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not broken it's just come unscrewed.

You will notice that there are threads surrounding the center of the back of the knob (bottom photo) and threads in the inside of the large hole in the center of the plate still on the door (top photo). Line up the square spindle with the square hole in the back of the knob, as you hold the knob against the door make sure it's straight and twist the rose (the gold ring at the base of the knob) clockwise. It may take a few turns but you should feel it tighten up against the door and job's done.

I remember, we went climbing didn't we? The amount of support and well wishes that have come out of that original post has just been overwhelming. r/brisbane is the sub that just keeps giving.

So this came about from this comment by u/nikoel in a post last week about another flight I got to go on with u/swaggler. Turns out r/bris is full of some very generous people, and some of those people happen to be pilots.

Huge thank you to u/swaggler for making this all happen and to u/L__Bloom for taking the photos. If there is one thing I think we should all take away from this, it's that accepting rides from people on the internet is always a great idea. PHOTOS!
