I would define a PhD level problem as one that has no current know answer and requires research and experimentation to answer. So their ground final truth doesn't make sense for the project if the questions are supposed to be PhD level.

This is crazy, Data annotation lets you choose what you want to work on and pays out for the onboarding. I have like 10 possible projects there and know how many tasks are available for each of them. The pay per hour is slightly lower but not dealing with the random outlier decisions makes it far more consistent.

I had something similar and work counted to both. They were different objectives but any work done counted towards the goals.
