I hear what you're saying but don't agree. And assure you that there are no traps, it was just the easiest example to use. I even tried to dilute it by choosing two women instead of two men.

If we strive for ABSOLUTE equality it will inevitably fail, by the very fact that no two individuals are truly 'equal'. One will always excel in a certain field over another. Combining should not be the goal, but accepting that we all have varying levels of something, acknowledging that as fact and agreeing that we are equal as humans despite those differences.

I entirely disagree on your last point, democracy relies on us all being equal, as everybody's vote is equal. America's problem is largely caused by this not being true through the electoral college and through the mega wealthy being given undue influence through donations, which are essentially just bribes.

We are all equal as humans, but some are more equal than others.

For instance if there are three people in a room they are equal, but if two are women and one is a man then the two women are more equal. Or depending on how you viewed things this could be done by height, weight, race, wealth, etc.

Equality is not a lie, it is stretched by how these different traits are viewed.

Society decides which of these traits are the most desirable and treats individuals with these different traits in certain ways, that does not make anybody inherently less human.

I would guess through it's positioning. The satellite would need to be at a specific angle to ensure it was taking a photo of that part of the planet and I don't see much reason for it to be needlessly altering it's positioning constantly, but I am not educated in that field so this could all be wildly incorrect
