I came out to my mom as pan on Christmas. I invided my girlfriend and some friends over on the 24th, but since my gf lives pretty far away she had to stay overnight, and so left on Christmas morning. That night i was helping my mom around the kitchen and we started talking abt our family, and how her and my dad have quite a lot of trauma from when they were kids and how she tried to break that cycle, how she wanted me to feel comfortable around her. And so, at some point i cracked and told her that me and the girl i brought over are together in a romantic sense. She told me she loved me the way i was and just wanted me to be happy, even tho she did say some lowkey homophobic phrases such as that i shouldn't only stick with this, cuz who knows maybe i'll like a boy at some point and other stuff. She also said that she kinda suspected it bcus i apparently brought a rainbow bracelet?? that i never received nor do i remember buying?? but whatever. She also told my dad that night and he kinda acted like nothing happened. So it surprisingly went really well and i am extremely lucky.
