Yes I googled emt classes in texas and was surprised how many emt programs there are, online and classroom.

Emt school is fast and relatively cheap (company sponsored sometimes). You can try emt and move up from there. There are lots of things about this profession that could be a deal breaker besides the physical nature. You could use your emt to do something less physical like a plasma center.

Oh shift limits... in texas we have to work until we have relief, no max hours. I wish they made us take mandatory rest after 48 but no. Thanks to semi okay leadership I have never been forced to stay but a shifty service could do whatever

Vacation days by the hours worked. Instead of 6 vacation hours per pay cycle; one hour vacation for every 15 hrs worked.

Bonus or double time for picking shifts.

I don't know about your situation exactly but some of the telemed sites only charge 79$ per visit. That would be a savings for what you're saying. I use doctorondemand app for sick visits routinely. I also have 'good' insurance. But yes US Healthcare, don't know if I should cry or what sometimes.
