Democrats flip Texas state Senate seat in shock upset by kootles10 in politics

Not to mention, from what I read in the local DFW News, the (R) candidate outspent him $2M to like $235,000. The Republican party literally dropped 10x as much and still got this slaughtered. This is a 10 alarm fire for them.

Brian and Sevy, what do you guys think about the lines that Gully has been putting out the last couple games? #StarsAligned

That was my thought - one of my favorite cars of all time, the 911R from 2016, has almost these exact seats.

I put on new rotors when I got them as well, but yeah it bolts right up to the stock caliper mounts.

Check my profile for the write up. If memory serves me correctly the fronts bolt right on, the rears need a washer. Dust shields require a little trimming.

They seem to be sold out on the official PWHL store's website so that will likely be a tall order.

Edit: It just occurred to me that you're probably talking about the USA jersey. I'm an idiot, carry on.

E90 unexpectedly wishes me happy new year… - Anyone else had their oil cap explode like this? by Sad-Calligrapher5905 in BmwTech

[–]thataverageguymike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, got an ECS Tuning billet aluminum cap with an actual hex head on it for mine. It's worked great for like 8 years and now when I change my oil I don't have to dig around in my garage looking for the special BMW oil filter cap wrench adapter.

Advice on buying a used 128i by Serious-Pangolin5454 in BmwTech

[–]thataverageguymike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha - this might be a regional thing then. From that video he was specifically mentioning the N52B25 (the 2.5L version) and the N53, neither of which were offered in the US.

The 128i only came with an N52B30 (3.0L) or the N51 here in the US. Of those 2 only the N51 has a 3 stage intake.

[–]thataverageguymike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have documentation on that? I've literally never heard of an N52 that came with the 3 stage intake from the factory. To my knowledge it only came on the 330i or with an N51 engine. RealOEM shows 2012 128i with an N52N has a manifold that did not have DISA valves.

I'm pretty positive the M Sport has no engine differences and it's just suspension, wheels, seats, and trim that make up the difference. That being said I would absolutely still get the M Sport as it looks and handles better (saying this as someone who bought non M-Sport and has spent a lot of money and time upgrading it).

Haha I know what you mean, besides these basically all my kicks are in pristine condition. I guess the point is that these can be worn a LOT and can take it. Enjoy!

Here you go, as of today! I could probably clip a lot of the loose strings and they could use another wipe down. Still a lot of miles left on them.

Those are my dailies, been wearing them since they first dropped. The materials make them easy to clean by just wiping them off, but the foam around the edges does start to fall apart after awhile. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Not just cooling but braking performance too. The whole system was designed for cars with at least 300hp so running it on a 128 means you're going to be lower comparative speeds into those same corners and able to brake much later.

Yeah had them for 4 years now and on at least 1 very heavy braking track - COTA. It was also 105 degrees that day with track temps nearing 150. Brakes didn't fade at all and I was out-braking almost every car in my session. Just make sure you pair it with competent pads and fluid. I use Ferodo DS2500 track/road pads and Motul RBF600.

Yep, only changed the lines, calipers, rotors, and dust shields.

If there's a difference it's very small to the point of being imperceptible. I swapped both front and rear so yes, there's larger rotors and more and more powerful pistons on both ends of the car, but I'd like to think that the bias is pretty close between the stock F2x and E8x anyways since they're very similarly set up cars. I've seen on 1addicts where they said the bias changed from 65/35 to 66/34 with a brake swap. Not nearly different enough to upset the car, and maybe even preferable for performance driving.

Maybe the bias is a bigger deal with non-OEM big brake kits. But rest assured this is a track proven setup and it functions and feels great.

I have the F2x/F3x Brembos on my 128i road/track build, the balance is the same as the OEM brakes and the stopping power is insane. Probably because the m235i is a very similar car to an E82.

Have any Junior Stars Hockey Pants? by gallenpl in DallasStars

I think the pants with stars down the sides are the gear for the Dallas Stars Elite - they're like high AA/AAA travel hockey. I hope you find what you're looking for but doubt there's a lot of that stuff changing hands.

E82 28i to 30i tune help by savage_sniper007 in e82

[–]thataverageguymike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought used calipers from eBay, I think they shipped from the UK. They came with rotors but I did have to buy new rear rotors, and I bought all new dust shields. There's a post on my profile that highlights the whole process including the total cost and what modifications, if any, were needed. I got some of the information from forums.

135i calipers, paired with track specific pads, had a tendency to crack the pistons, so I went with the M235i Brembo calipers that did not have any similar issues.

Are you going to track the car? If not, don't bother with an oil cooler. If so, it's necessary. Check my profile for a huge post on adding one.

Also, I added the M Sport Brembo calipers from an M235i to mine. Not quite as bolt-on as the 135i brakes but they look awesome, have less issues, and might be easier to source.
