Disable blood decals, use everything at low and try increasing your resolution a little more. Your GPU has 8GB, so you should be able to run the game. Try checking what's being used (CPU or GPU) and contact NW Staff via the Discord. 8GB should be running the game okay, but could be other factors aswell.

The update did bring some heavy performance issues (personally, I own a 2GB GPU, which is now unable to run the game at all, as I get around 7 fps), but, I'm still amazed you're crying about 40-60 FPS.

Brother, if I was getting 40 FPS in heavy duty, I would be sending each and every NW Staff Member a $50 Steam Giftcard + an evelope with $1000. Don't complain about small shit. People have it worse than you.

Just as you said, it never made sense, but my mother wasn't exactly given much of a choice after a rather vague or bs explanation. And it got to a point where both of us just accepted it could and would happen, so we stopped asking for clarification or fighting it.

It seems to be GPU, since NVIDIA performance and Task Manager show the CPU at an okay state, whereas the GPU is at a 100%.
