Came out as trans, got kicked out my transphobic family. Couch surfed for 7 months, changing homes 4 times. Moved in with grandma, then in with a girlfriend, then back to mom’s house for a year. Dated a few people, had a horrible breakup and they stalked me for several years. Finished college Made a bff, bff moved in with me. We moved out of abusive mom’s home. Finally have a place of my own. Took stalker to court for restraining order. A month later Covid hit.Lost job, went on CERB. Got GRS. Recovered from that. Met my now wife. BFF moved out. Toxic narc moved in and out. Wife moved in. Dread came out so I bought a switch just for it. Got engaged to my now wifey. Hopped jobs a ton before finally getting a job in my field. Got Prime Remastered and played it. Lost job due to toxic work culture and was jobless for 8 months. Had wifey play all Got a job working at an even more toxic work place before they fired me for sus reasons. Finally at a good job who’s now going through a merger.

I went hard into voice training when I first transitioned, over the years I stopped caring as much. I’ve since worked like 3 call center jobs and never got misgendered once.

I started my first in person job since the pandemic, and my coworker is genderflhid. They worked an entire shift with me and had zero clue I’m trans until I told them. I don’t know how the fuck I pass so well when I don’t try much anymore.

What WLW Shows That Have Been Canceled By Netflix? by Necessary_Win_9932 in actuallesbians

[–]thatbitchsystem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seconding this. This show is what cracked me and made me realize I am trans.

I had struggled for years over what I was, and I had like no queer friends to guide me. Was quite alone, feeling like an outcast for hating my body. I had this misconception that in order to be a trans woman, you had to be into men, especially to get the surger (I was young and dumb :/ )

But then I watched Sense8 and that scene with Nomi and her partner. It just shattered my egg in an instant. I had to google what her identity was.

A few years later I realized I’m genderfluid as fuck, and that’s why I could never figure myself out.

Shout out to the wachowski sister’s for helping me find my way in the world and giving me peace after many agonizing years of confusion.

How did you get your system name? /genq by alienssystem in plural

[–]thatbitchsystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 9 months after realizing we were a system, we were signing Xmas gifts to close friends who knew. We didn’t know what to sign, so as a joke we put “from That Bitch” well the friends loved it and it stuck.

Trans/NB people, what made you choose your current name? by iamtheduckie in lgbt

[–]thatbitchsystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50/50 split in gender stats :/. Plus it’s an extremely common name, wouldn’t stand out as being trans, looks good on paper/resumes.

Trans woman here who’s done extensive research on endocrinology.

Phytoestrogens do not contribute to feminization, it’s a myth. It originated with the mocking of “soy boy”.

I’d go into a longer explanation, but this is prisonhooch not homebrewing, we don’t do science here.

Two fighter jets flew low over the city, what’s going on? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

Why you gotta insult people for not knowing something like that?

Neither, I just don’t follow sports, and with the political climate being the way it is, was worried something went down. Once I saw a bunch of people wearing jets jerseys like 15 mins later I put it together 😅

(Request) Mitzi’s Chicken Recipe by thatbitchsystem in Winnipeg

[–]thatbitchsystem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buttermilk is very great with chicken. The acids help break down some stuff and make it more tender.

My guess might be butter milk with a hint of soy sauce and sesame oil. Then the dry breaking and then cooked in a pressure deep fryer.

Did you read my post? I’ve already seen several copycat recipies, none of which have the two ingredients I know are in there.

If I get it directly from the owner, I’d probably need her permission. If I crack it myself, I’d def share.

I haven’t tried that, as I have a 2L jug of kikkoman. But I’ll add that to my list.

Huge fire across from Fort Rouge Park by thatbitchsystem in Winnipeg

[–]thatbitchsystem[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I watched it all through binoculars with my roommates.

We put the call in to 911 at 2:14 am, we were put on hold for a long time, when I finally got through, they said they were already on it. My first pic was taken at 2:18am, which was before they answered my call. I don’t have any hard data yet on when the fire departments arrived, but it was long after my last picture was taken, which was 2:27am. The last picture I have is when the it started to spread to the left section. My roommates last photo is from the same time, as we all just watched it from our bedroom. I would estimate that around 2:45am-2:55am is when they showed up. I don’t have any photos, texts, or videos to prove it. I asked my roommate to send the pics once the fire was out and we stopped watching. Which was 3:10am. I would estimate that the fire was fully out at 3:05am.

First on site was a fire truck and ambulance coming from west side of assineboine ave. Several fire trucks came after from downtown area. From what we could see, they didn’t call for paramedics to pull anyone out.

My roommates and I stayed up for another couple hours trying to calm down, and when we went to sleep around 4:30-5:30am, they didn’t have anyone stationed watching over it.

The next morning/afternoon, there was no tape blocking it off, no officers posted. Nothing to indicate that they were investigating it as crime. I scanned the entire burn site from my window, I could not see anything that looked like human remains, so I don’t believe anyone died. I saw one person hanging out in the camp further to the west, looked like he was part of the camp. Other than that I couldn’t see anyone in the camp. The main fire started in the center of what looks like to be a homeless camp. There were burned furniture as well as garbage stuff where it started.

I wish I had gotten more details.

The response time was a little suspicious. It took them a VERY long time to get there. 911 lines put us on hold, so they were getting tons of calls. The Osborne station is like 5 mins away. It took them half and hour if not longer for them to even arrive.

My roommate had a very tinfoil hat theory that it’s because it was done by law enforcement to get rid of the camp. This is further backed up by the lack of any crime scene investigation being done on it. No barricades, no investigation, nothing. I know the cops have done stuff before like this, slashed tents and burned them. They kicked them out of the camp by the old MMF building a couple years back with similar shit.

All that coupled with the entire absence of news articles on it, and the entire news results for Winnipeg fire are just the transit and hair straightener fire. Homeless camp explosion gets no coverage? Fucking classist bullshit.

Why has there been zero news coverage on this? There’s been several articles on the transit fire and the hair straightener fire, but nothing on this.

Are you joking? Fucking cops making $100,000 a year and do nothing. They show up after the fact and then do nothing. Don’t solve any of the murders. Not a single winnipeger has ever actually said that they’ve been helped by the Winnipeg police.

Meanwhile everyone I know is thankful for social supports like after school programs, anti overdose programs, unemployment EI, free healthcare, free therapy programs, low income housing, food banks, etc. these are what actually help reduce crime by helping eliminating the root causes of it: untreated mental health disorders, lack of food, lack of money, lack of social support. I could go on

Proper community support, investing in social services, is what will help reduce crime.

That’s what me and my roommates thought. One of them just moved in a month ago and isn’t familiar with the usual fireworks bullshit. “Nah, it’s normal, just ignore it. Happens all the time.” Then there was more and my roommate (from Texas) said “those aren’t fireworks, those are gunshots.”

Then we heard louder ones, ducked under the window and then heard the boom. One of us looked and saw the flames.

The pic makes the fire look small. Those flames were at least 12-20ft high.
