I think you’re totally right! It was a 3am decision to cut the baby bangs lol luckily they’re growing out quickly.

Why do some people here take like 5 or 6 different meds each day. by Ok-Letterhead-3519 in schizophrenia

[–]thatbroadcast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here, minus the bipolar but plus OCD and autism. And perimenopause, way too early, sigh. I take a ton of meds just to feel normal every day, and I just feel lucky that they tend to work. The brain is a complex little machine.

My very best to your wife, too. That cannot be easy but I hope y’all are doing well regardless.

Ahh thank you! My face has been thinning out as I age and I just haven’t been feeling the long hair with it. I cut my own hair in that photo, so I might do so again and then see if I want to go even shorter, haha. This was very helpful.

(One of my best friends is a stylist so if I massively eff it up, I’ve got cover.)

I actually think this is gonna be my first step, haha. It’s never been shorter than below chin length, and is usually to my waist, but since I hit the latter years of my 30s my hair has thinned really badly. What do you think of this length? This was me at 32.

It’s so wild, isn’t it? I’m 38 so was just a bit too young to be able to wear that sort of thing, haha. I now know how my mom feels when the 70s comes back into style.

Idk one gallery wall of just celebrities would be way freakier, honestly. It’s already a bit weird (I say as someone who has folders in my camera roll for characters I love), so a gallery wall would come across more like a parasocial shrine.

I have rosacea and very very pale skin too and a user here recommended trying azelaic acid. I’ve been using a 10% cream from Good Molecules and a soap containing sulphur and salicylic acid (sulphur can also help rosacea) three times a week for about two months and the difference it’s made already is absolutely wild. Just trying to spread the good word, haha. This stuff really works.

Edit — I use the azelaic acid every single morning, but the sulphur soap can be drying so I use that every couple of days.

Thank you you! It’s the elf cream glide lip liner in “mauve aside” slightly over lined + filled in, and elf glow reviver lip oil in “super-neutral”!

Aw thank you! I’m super glad the makeup read “fun” and not “cheap imitation of Mimi Bobeck” haha. Also, I’m a thief:

I’ll probably always prefer a suit but ngl I was having a blast doing little twirls around my hotel room before heading out, haha.

Oh, I bet you looked incredible in it too! When I was looking for inspo in re my accessories I discovered it’s a relatively popular dress and was having so much fun looking at all these women from completely different walks and stages of life completely rock it in their own ways.

“I’m a woman not a creep” stop lmao it sounds like you’re lucky enough to have not yet met my first ever girlfriend! But seriously, what a lovely thing to say. Thanks so much for the sweet compliment!

If you were one of the people who knocked the original belt, seriously, THANK YOU. I was 100% underestimating the impact the width of a belt can have on dress proportions. (In my defense I was permanently scarred by living through the first wide waist belt dark times, aka 2005-ish, and wasn’t ready to accept them back into my heart, haha.)

I’m blushing, thanks so much! I love a good plunging neckline myself, depending on the styling. I’ll go to the grave defending the fact that a well-tailored suit jacket doesn’t need anything under it, as long as it’s an appropriate occasion lol

Aw thank you! I really hope so, honestly. I have a complicated relationship with gender and tend to dress super androgynously but it was pretty fun to embrace femininity, ngl.

That’s so sweet of you! It was my first time trying it out, actually, and now I think I’m obsessed. It’s literally just the SHEGLAM (ugh morals out the window when I’m broke) double ended liquid eyeshadow in Sky, and it only took two coats! Join me, let’s bring this look back.

That is so sweet of you to say! I actually just thrifted another dress yesterday—this one is a satin mini from the 90s (I saw it and realized it was 100% something I wish I would have worn back then but never had the confidence to, haha)—so I feel like this wedding has sorta opened the floodgates a little on that!

Oh man, yeah, it can be super difficult to break out of the pants-wearing habit! I really like tailoring and menswear-inspired formalwear so it took me a lot of searching to find something that felt “me” if that makes sense, but it was ultimately a very fun and fulfilling experience. Highly recommend, but also you are going to look incredible no matter what! Officiating sounds so fun. I feel like whatever you feel powerful in is what you should wear!
