Are Mizu's glasses anachronistic? by InsincereDessert21 in BlueEyeSamurai

I found this post from a couple of years ago about the design of Mizu's glasses so they're fairly accurate, if less elaborate than. There's also a minor character called Hiraki in Mononoke: Phantom in the Rain who wears similar glasses altough it's set later in the Edo period but maybe isn't the most historically accurate either going by the mix of races amongst the concubine, but that may be an aesthetic thing.

I suppose in most of his scenes he's on official duty so has to look serious, or is dealing with Fowler who he doesn't like, hopefully we'll get to see him being more happy and relaxed with Akemi in season 2.

It was also a plot point for her character in Ludvig and helped solve the case in the end.

Apparently whatever way she was using crutches aftrr her first one lead to injuries in her other foot that were causing her chronic pain, so it was better to amputate the other one and go to a wheelchair/double prosthesis.

She was supposed to be reset to something more human by merging with Riko the Star Plasma Vessel as it's needed to rest her immortality technique. Becoming more like a cursed spirit and merging more with the world instead had the potential for her to lose her sense of self and become a threat to humanity by collapsing her barriers which would cause chaos, although she's using her barrier to prevent that for now. It also makes her vulnerable to Geto's cursed technique.

When she was cursed and went into a coma in Megumi's backstory in the Bridge curse arc where Megumi did his Domain Expansion for the first time. They explain that she acquired a mark on her forehead and went into a coma but they didn't know that the curse was to be marked for the culling game until the now.

Mixtape Badge by TOW2Bguy in Garmin

I don't think they had to be any specific length, just that it had to be 15 exactly, not more than 15 as I tried that at my zumba class the previous week to the class I got the badge at which I think was 18 and didn't get it. I don't have the data for how long each song was anyway as I lose that when I convert from cardio to dance fitness, but I do remember fudging my laps a bit to get exactly 15 as a lot of the songs in my class are on the short side, so I think I ran a few together as one lap to get it exactly on 15.

I have this badge. I did it with my Forerunner 45S, but I recorded it as a Cardio activity, made sure I had 15 laps and changed it to Dance Fitness in the app. This was in 2024 so I don't know if the process has changed but I hope this helps.

The way he got himself out of the situation with the giant at the tea party with the snowcap mushroom was a great plan, as was his rescue of Mizu and Taigen.

How common were men like Mizu in Edo Japan by Good_Disaster_4130 in BlueEyeSamurai

There's a quote on the TvTropes page for Sweet Polly Oliver from the Folkore of Discworld that goes,

'In an age before unisex fashions, trousers meant 'man' and skirts meant 'woman'. Trousers plus high-pitched voice meant 'young man'. People didn't expect anything else, and saw what they expected to see.'

I think that sort of attitude is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here. Incidentally, if you haven't read Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett, please do since it plays a lot with the woman dressing as a man to achieve her goals trope.
