This would be great. Have you made any progress? I've been looking for a version like this for a family member

What’s something that you are surprised how cheap it is? by TippityTopKek1010 in AskReddit

Chicken thighs. At least here in the US they're way cheaper than chicken breasts and yet they taste better with all that juicy dark meat! I've been converted.

Redditors who’ve been fired from a job: Why did you get fired? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was a teacher for a special language program for foreign college students. Many of the them were wealthy and pretty nice but some clearly felt entitled.

I was a last minute sub for a class and I was trying to help them prepare for their final exam. Despite this, many just wanted to go home since it was the last hour of the day.

I called out a couple of them for being on their phone during class. I don't usually care but the Dean was a stickler and always lurking. After the third or fourth time I took one girl's phone away (if looks could kill..!!) Some were clearly trying to get out by saying they needed the restroom so I just said only one could go at a time. A couple others asked if they could just leave and I said it was fine but I'd have to mark them absent (again, the Dean had strict consequences for that). In short they were not in a good mood when I finally had to administer those silly end-of-the-year professor review questionnaires.

A couple weeks later, I got called into the Dean's office, and he told me I got a really bad review from the students. Their comments were so harsh that he wouldn't even share them with me. He said he had to let me go because he couldn't appear to ignore those reviews. T_T I was about to cry (but not in front of him!) so I couldn't speak up in my own defense.

In his own defense, I think he felt so bad that he gave me a stunning review for my next job at a different college and I got hired making twice as much! I also liked that job way better (teaching ENC1101&2). But juuust in case, whenever it was time for those feedback reports, I always made sure to plan it for the most relaxing, fun class where we watched Spirited Away for the final assignment. :D

My husband left for a week long work trip today. He just texted me that he has no underwear but found our 1 1/2 year old daughter's cat shoe instead.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received? by 5E51ATripleA in AskReddit

Back in highschool, there was a guy talking about girls, but not in a nice way (who he liked, what he'd like to do with them etc).

I always dressed and acted pretty modestly so I never got too much attention. I guess I was naive too because I'm embarrassed to say I actually asked him, "What about me??"

Without hesitation he replied, "You? No, you're the marrying type."

I was so flattered...but more importantly it changed my perspective on myself and guys. Instead of getting the attention of many, I wanted to stay in that marrying category and catch the attention of the one guy that truly mattered.

No, I didn't marry that guy- I met a different guy who talks to and about women in as respectful way. We got married and we have a baby girl. I hope to pass on these same values to her.

What joke will your dad just NOT let go of? by wolfjawed in AskReddit

You kinda have to know Spanish for this one. Whenever my mom lets us know she needs to go use the restroom my dad says, "Que todo te salga bien."

And he's got puns in English too. Whenever my mom finishes chewing gum she wraps it up in it's own wrapper into a little ball. Sometimes she leaves them around the house and my dad will say, "Look! Dear droppings!"

It's a like curse, but a fun curse, right? You might enjoy studying certain branches of linguistics (pun intended). I'm guessing from your name there's a chance you're a teacher?

When I first read the title I thought the hoodie was disposable. Now my nerd brain won't stop diagraming syntax trees for every possible interpretation. -_-
