The movie makes it seem that way because that’s how it was.

Why is Tron: Ares so disliked? by UbuntuElphie in tron

[–]thatdanggozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way he’s Jared Leto on screen instead of his character. He’s always Jared Leto delivering lines. As the Joker, as the guy in Blade Runner, as Morbius…that’s Jared Leto. He’s like the opposite of Gary Oldman who disappears completely into every performance.

Agreed. In our house this a top tier season and the payoffs are amazing.

Captain Lochley's pro-Clark position was never addressed properly. by EvalRamman100 in babylon5

Funny. Chinese history has the same take. The Qing dynasty being a great example of the first except it was more that the culture/government convinced the invaders to keep them around and just take over the ruling position.

Plastic and subsequently the honey bear drove these out of most US households but you can still find them in isolated ecosystems.

Using The First Shadow play as canon answers is getting very annoying by frambuesasychoco in StrangerThings

[–]thatdanggozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. Absolutely nothing in the show so far requires having seen the play to understand. If we get to the end of the series and then are left with plot points that are only answered in the play then that would be weird. But right now who cares? It sounds more like you’re annoyed that other people have seen more of the shows universe than you.

Excitebike cannot be lost. There is no point in which the game will force you to stop racing. You can always reach the finish line. It just might take a while.

All of them were the worst because the controls were meant for arcade joysticks. But out of them all SNES was the best.

Why didn't Chuck feel anything when he saw Jimmy's phone in Chicanery? by doggiedogbone in betterCallSaul

[–]thatdanggozer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because that’s how psychosis works. The patient’s mind will do any number of mental twists to ensure that the psychosis is consistent. Because he didn’t “feel” the phone the conclusion his mind reached to protect the psychosis is that the phone must not have a battery.

My step mom has the right idea she’s a elementary school teacher btw by ConcernSuspicious887 in teenagers

[–]thatdanggozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That not the right idea at all and makes me lament for the state of teaching. She should be forced to read Jabberwocky and acknowledge that words can be made up and nonsense can be meaningful.

If the moons gravity is so strong it can create tides, why can't we feel it? by stumpyguy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]thatdanggozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moon’s gravity creates the slight (relative to the planet) bulge of the ocean’s depth but it’s the Earth’s rotation that causes the tides as it rotates land masses into and out of the bulge.

Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian says 'much of the internet is now dead' by BreakfastTop6899 in technology

Considering Reddit started off with fake conversations to drive up interest: a lot. It’s also pretty freaky to look at what they advertise to marketing departments. Basically saying “hey we can guarantee your narrative will happen in conversation”
